Mmmmm expensive tires she shall handle quite well :)

The EF/EL is a pretty good handling car i have driven my old one like a clown at times and it would cut side ways "controlled" well

But its no sports hatch

Read your posts regarding the cam don't beat your self down regarding it sounding stockish i bet it sounds wonderful lol

How is things going with getting the tune ?

it is tuned that's why I don't like it, it use to idle at 900 untuned and could still hear the cam a little and now it's at 800 it sound stock

that's what the point of the tune is, to give back the idle control and drivability.
did you buy the cam for its performance or did you just want a s**t idle??

I am assuming Mitch is most likely wishing the cam had a different lobe step for the lumpier idle ?

i wanted the performance I but I still wanted a bit of a lope at idle, just enough so people knew it was cammed, now it just smells like it's running rich as f**k

Throttle body. Of course! Thankyou!

Just spent about 3 hours checking over my ED for vac leaks, or whatever is causing my random idle. Had the screw wound out so far the butterfly was jamming shut, and isc unplugged and still couldn't get it to stall.

Gotta love that raw fuel smell with the big cams eh.
I'm running a Camtech 830, and was sorta disappointed with how smooth the J3 made it idle. Although I'm running very high compression so it still sounds fairly chunk.

All this talk regarding idles and cam

So if one where to have a medium cam eg a 1636 and had it properly tuned with a J3

Would the idle pretty much be near stock ?

Nahhhhh, I have a CMS stage 3 too, it sounds gnarly, even after being tuned.

Although my current exhaust makes it sound really tinny.
