Pop the cam gear off and pull on the chain each way. If they stay loose like this for too long the crank gear flogs the keyway out and eventually you end up with a bunch of bent.......we all know where this is going.

seems she doesn't hate me as much as I thought, got the shaft off and shone the torch down the tail shaft yoke the spline on the back of the box and all seems straight and fine,
while it's out going to give it a freshen up so hopefully it can put up with my abuse for a lot longer yet |

day 4 update, man dragged this out haha
got the heater lines off today, decided since I'd be replacing them anyway I'd just cut em should hopefully pull my finger out and get the rest unhooked and ready to come out tomorrow, will bolt the gearbox mount back up so we can drag the car out then push it back in so it faces the opposite way to pull the motor out |

So, why is the motor coming out? Is there something you're not telling us?
