went and bought another brake booster this morning just as I turned out my road the booster let out a loud hiss and stopped working, luckly only had to drive about 1km and isn't a very busy road

You need a heat shield on the extractors. I lost 2 boosters in quick succession, put a heat shield on my extractors, and didn't lose another one after that

i'm running ba boosters but the 2nd one came out of ss this so it was probably f**k from his turbo heat

can anyone tell me how to get the f**k fuel lines off the fuel pump off so I can unscrew the cover and get the pump out?


mine are some form of quick release looking clip

Dont you squash the wing bits on them in with the pliers and jiggle them back ?

i think it was a quick release fitting, pull the hose/pipe as if you are putting it on, then push the outer ring back towards the hose, then wiggle the hose off while holding the ring in towards the hose.
hope that makes sense

Hope it works out

got the new pump in the pump is priming but no start, I've swapped fuel lines back and forward, and now I've popped the fuel line off and hit it to prime it makes the noise but no fuel comes out?

yeah still got half a tank,

it's an aeroflow 255lph pump?

and it's making the noise to say it's priming

Happened to me once. The little plastic bung in the inlet was still in. :oops:
Wont make that mistake again..

crisis avoided, got it all fixed up now, the wires were swapped around from where they needed to be, took it for a test drive and 3000 to 6000rpm feels so much better so much more response from the motor isn't flat spotting at the top side of 2nd either which is great
