Now you will have meatal through the motor.

I would strongly suggest dropping the sump and checking the oil pump as well as flushing the full system and checking the bottom end etc.

i was going to drop the engine oil anyway, so i might run an engine flush threw it, in all honesty if i were to pull this out and fix the motor up, gettin the oil pump out and cleaning it up and all that i'd be about the same as getting another $450 motor from the wreckers and dropping that in there

If you use an oil flush, all you will do is circulate any metal that is retained in the sump and already in the oil pump.

If this is the way that you want to go, then drop the oil and pour 4 litres or more of kero over the head/rocker gear and let it drain out, 8lts would be better. Pull the oil filter, drop on a cheapy and put some cheap oil in it, run for 10 mins or so then drop it out. Change filter again and fill with good oil.

You may get away with this if you are lucky.

100 bucks to get a new set of cams, so i'll see even if this motor old last me an extra 2 months thats enough for me to consider my plans, if i was closer to my opens licence i'd get the 20 grand atomic motor

todays discoveries involved
trythis left my key on and made my battery go flat
cam sharfts are hollow
cam cages had losened off so the cam would have been rolling over the roller and lifting off and then this would have caused flex in the cam eventurly leading to it snapping as it's done
