Get idea's flowing here, But one suggestion I'd make is not to continue with your battery relocation to the intended position. Here's my thoughts.

Battery this close to a front corner - IF anything went wrong (Crash) you could easily short out the battery a create a fire. I was a volunteer fireman for 5 years and I have seen car fires after the battery has shorted out.

Will the battery hinder the installation of intercooler piping?

Batteries are heavy! And placing it so far forward will effect your handling! Go ask any race or rally driver - The put the battery in a place that enhances the handling not hinder it.

A small Gel battery like the ones Nizpro use on their BA kits are smaller lighter and can be located better.

Sorry not trying to be negative, just my 2c, and like my XF DOHC Turbo conversion - It suck's doing things more than one, cause it didn't work correctly the first time.

Best of luck, and don't give up.

hey mate, all for ideas, i was looking into the process west reloation kit for ba's it does exactly what i've done but it looks a fair bit more secure, and i figured it'd be fine being that battery has just dropped 300mm from it's original position, intercooler piping can be made around it, one of the plus things of nothing being off the shelf for e series is it gets made for where i'd like it to go

seats were pretty simple, but i'm going to revisit them,

since the last post, i've bought the diff, and the gearbox, got all the seats mounting in properly, and stripped the car to bare metal
