started fibreglass this afternoon, just waiting for the first layer to dry to apply the next layer to that area then move on, only doing an area at a time as we have to pull the screws out as we go cause they won't pull in and sit flush

why make it something it's not full stop, it's a perfectly good looking car with the only alteration needed being the tickford bodykit, don't say it's to be original because it's not and nothings worse than an overkitted e series wannabe typhoon imo, especially with a stock setup.

went and picked up a tickford kit for my mates xr6 this morning and i've always had the idea of the door pod thing on with the typhoon kit, and making a mould of it and building it up away from to bring it out the right spot,

Image

i'm hoping to get the front bar completely fibre glassed before the rain today

that will look good with the door piece once you get it built out to suit the side skirts, i was just pulling some stuff off my spare car for another fordmods member and it was sunny one minute and raining the next with thunder and lightning and came outta no where  lucky i got everything off in time

yeah, we got a servier weather warning going around,

flash flooding and 150mm of rain exspected, had 600mm in 6 hours 3 years ago,

got the fibre glass going from the front right corner to the numberplate moulding,

not sure if i'll cut the height of the side skirt or build it up and leave it about 3/4 up the door, looks a little funny at that height

Have you sanded the paint back to the plastic on the Fairmont bar and roughed the plastic? Also did you remove the primer and sand the fiberglass?
