Hey guys im new to the forums just thought id make a topic about my car.

A month ago i bought it off a mate for $500 still had a month and a half rego left drove it till the rego ran out.

Currently sitting out the front 14 days out of rego it didnt pass pink slip due to.

* no airbag
* steering binding
* break lights not working
*ABS light permanantly on

Fixed the airbag first off bought a newer one put a new fuse in all sweet.

After a few days of umming and arghing figured out it was the steering lock playing up so filed off the burs on steering column and installed new ignition barrel.

Found out that some idiot had put a 30amp fuse into the 10amp break light socket and fried the globes so replaced the fuse with a 10amp and replaced the globes now working sweet.

my current problem is the ABS, i dont like doing things the bodgy way but ive heard this isnt cheap but ive been told to either take the globe out or rewire it onto something else. what should i do ??

Also before i took it for rego i also replaced the blinker arm with a new one as it had been snapped off.

So i am stuck with a problem with this ABS the cheap bodgy way? or the expensive way ? i know that there is nothing wrong with the brakes as they are fine could be a sensor or something?

But this isnt the original diff and when it was replaced my mate said he cut through an abs wire or something but im not sure.

just want to see peoples input on things thanks guys.

Also thinking of putting on a spoiler as it doesnt have one and front bumper is pretty busted up and may new a new one soon and ive called around the wreckers and noone seems to ever have one.

3 of my windows dont work the motors have gone in them a mate said he has 3 motors said hell fit them for me for $120 for all.

What modifications should i do ? i was thinking first thing spoiler as it doesnt even have one stock then extractors as it already has a 2.5inch exhaust.

hey mate welcome to the site, sounds like a good buy may need to post up some pictures im not sure about the ABS but maybe have a look and see if your mate chopped a wire may be able to repair the wire?

as for modifications i found on my ef extractors and intake made a noticeable difference just my opinion tho.

Yeah i got it past rego today and i have no idea how dodgy mechanics they are hhahha pics will be up as soon as i take some mate ran into a wall today "at the bloody RTA" so front bumper is getting worse for wear.

having trouble with the steering changed the ignition barrel and everything still having mildly the same problem im thinking it has something to do with the power steering, when you turn a corner you have to physically turn the wheel back around it doesnt automatically do it like most which is kinda awkward, ive topped up the power steering fluid and there is still heaps in there im pretty sure theres a leak but maybe it may have something to do with the pump ? not quite sure.
