Papa Smurf wrote: A set of 18" Turbo Territory rims will look nice too We have 16 of these wheels in stock, they sell retail for $1010.00 EACH But I think a little chat with the boss will see the price dropped The only problem with these wheels is that Ford obsoleted the Centre caps. You can pick these rims up on ebay for about 650 a set... Genuine rims! They cant give them away! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/18-Inch-Wheels-F ... 20b0e8849b Dont know why i think they look good. |

In the floor shift with console models, Ford put out a tissue holder to go where the ashtray was, put out a box of tissues to go there which they very quickly made obsolete. In order to have an ashtray in a floor shift you need to buy a smoker's pack from Ford and then you lose one of your beverage holders. And no, you can't just get a colum shift ashtray and put it there because the size of the hole is different. I'll get pics of the difference tomorrow to show you. George thinks I'm mad because I don't smoke and he is pretty sure the column shift part wont fit, but I want somewhere to put loose change where it wont move around a lot and make noise and I don't like the smoker's pack ashtray anyway. LOL Maybe it wont fit, but its my time to give it a shot. Have a look here to see the difference: off-topic-f6/dash-differences-between-ba-floor-and-column-shifts-t94223.html |

My quest for a column shift ashtray has stalled. Seems very few vehicles have them, and I'm too cheap to spend 200 bucks to buy a new one to hack to bits, so my good friend ashcook is helping me out by making a coin box/ashtray to fit in the tissue holder. Its still being worked on and from what I can gather is nowhere near finished, but here's an idea of how it'll look when done:
Attachment: DSC02595.JPG It'll be nice to have somewhere to put the loose change. I don't like chasing it in the armrest. LOL You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

Good to hear Ash. Can't wait to get a hold of it.
Meanwhile, George and I spent all day installing the rear power regulators and door trims and wiring harnesses. Next step there is to actually wire the harnesses together so that they back ones will work. LOL., I also changed the gear lever lense. If yours is bubbly like mine was, JUST DEAL WITH IT. In order to change it, I had to remove both front seats, unbolt the handbrake, remove all the console trims, the beverage holder, remove the tissue holder, unscrew the console lid, remove the gear lever, remove the console and then and ONLY then, after close to an hour and a halfs work, could I access the lense to do the three minute job of changing it. Then I had to reverse the process so that I could put it all together again. Still, at least if I have to do it again I'll be able to. LOL. Only picture I have is of an intended future mod. I want to paint the lense black and see how it looks instead of the silver. I had to strip the bubbly plating off it, which was surprisingly easy. Now need to get me some plastic paint and see how she looks. Incidentally, when you put this lense apart, you can paint it without worrying about painting over the P,R, N, D symbols. Attachment: lense.jpg Upon further investigation, the whole thing comes apart and I could conceivably change the colour of the little orange thing into something else... I'm getting a blue vibe.... Hmmmm, warrants further thought I think. Attachment: lenseapart.jpg

Just a bit of a bling update. I added a bit to the bootlid. I put a "C" from a Falcon badge and a decal which Killerjoolz made for me on my beastie. Thanks again Joolz.
