G'day Guys,

This is my EF XR8. I bought her a few years ago and decided she needed some balls. I decided to go the blower route as it seemed simpler and effective while adding a dimension to the bay.

Anyways, I started off with the head unit, i bought a V2 vortech with a T trim Upgrade. Then i bought the pullies and bracket from Capa. Then the rest of the gear was purchased, Ported Cobra Manifold, Walbro Fuel Pump, 42lb injectors, malpassi, Marauder 80mm MAF, BBK 75mm throttle body and EGR, screaming demon coil and Dynamod ignition module.

I ended up making my piping up and i eventually plan to get it intercooled.

All tuned with SCT Eliminator Chip (capa) it made 307 rwhp. After 2 weeks the gearbox died on her so I got it rebuilt and Beefed up. Anyways enough Jibber Jabber and time for some pics.

Best time out the car so far is a 13.2 @ 105mph which i am wrapped with. I dont see it getting any faster unless i lose a few kg's (im around the 150 mark :( ).

Now this will be the 2nd (and possibly final) stage on the EF.

I purchased a motor a few weeks ago that will be going in. Its out of an AU and runs AFR 165 heads, comp cams XE270HR cam, Crane roller rockers, explorer. Anyways the motor made 299rwhp NA so with 8psi pumped into it i am confident with cracking 400rwhp. This motor Is Tony's motor (tones au2 xr8) and when he was upgrading i thought i might do the same. :D

A few pics.

I'll be happy with a mid 12, as long as nothing breaks too. I will look at running a few numbers on the track and on the dyno, once it has reached a couple of goals, i will retire the blower and keep it as a nice NA daily.

More than likely only the E7 headed motor thats in the car now. All the explorer and injectors are pretty much sold before they even went on sale.

Matt what is the turnaround time with the ceramic coating? I need my headers done, also looking potentially doing the manifold.

Blower is noisyish at idle, has a nice little whine . But giving it a boot it sounds very similar to a set of gear drives, Sounds exactly like a larger turbo coming onto boost, nice whizzing induction roar.

Do you have a time frame as to when the new motor will be going in mate?

I see there are a couple of cut down bolts blocking the heat pump holes at the end of the heads, if you want the correct blanking plugs I've got them on the shelf here. Typical thing that AFR don't supply but TFS do...

Looks like you'll be having a lot of fun! Hope the stock 5.0L bottom end holds together with 400rwhp!
