just a quick question...
i intend on running an aftermarket ECU, should i run a MAF?? i have a 3 bar map sensor also, if thats worth using? btw, for anyone that gives a s**t.... block is going in for machining next week, so there is abit of progress... for anyone that hasnt already realised, this is a learn as you go build

Most don't used air meters or mafs.. But can be used.. A wide band Lambda sensor would be better... Depends on ecu ???
Generally NO and 12Lb is about all you need with std block.. Though 3 bar will still work..?? IS it 8860 ? That have 3 bar intergated...

the ecu is an adaptronic e420c http://www.adaptronic.com.au/
3 bar map sensor came with it ( in a past life it ran a boosted el ) it has successfully run a 1UZ, and there not short of electrics so im hoping the relatively new unit in the ECU market will do the job... it only has 3 ignition outputs, using an AUX output as the forth, so i will have to run igniters with the dizzy set up and run it wasted spark im guessing...

i've sourced a 331 stroker kit, just wanting to see the feedback, then i'll go ahead and order it. included is the following parts
Scat 4340 forged crank Scat 4340 forged H-Beam rods SRP forged dish pistons ACL Race series bearings Total Seal 'CS' ring package suit turbo/supercharger Powerbond balancer i'm not sure on what CC the dish are on the SRP's, but hopefully i'll find out shortly is it a goer...?

eventually got the block back from machinist. looks like a new block now.
now i need to look for an intercooler. i've been thinking about a 600 x 300 x 100 with a single 3inch outlet on each side. would this be the way to go? or 2 x 2.5inch outlets on one side with a 3 inch on the other. and then run 3 inch to intake manifold. and 2.5 inch from each turbo. just trying to sort out how to set it up. cheers
