EDFAIRMONT - thanks man, i was thinking of getting a fairmont garnish a while back, but now i'm deleting the original badges, and where the gli badge is now, will be a BA Mont badge, i think. Still deciding, but yeah i want that garnish gone!

SYMO - lol, someone asked the same thing not too far above this post. Because i'm quite low, i don't want to fit big rims because i'm over getting defects. I have a set of EF MONT rims too put on, thats probably as "rimmed up" as you'll see it, unless these s**t laws get changed.

Andrew

hey guys.

Got my ED Ghia grill last night. This morning i painted it and fitted, and looks much better IMO.

Now it looks a little more elegant, and not so much like a dirty whore, haha.

Thanks to Linz for the grill, who also gave me an ED GLI grill as a spare.

Andrew.

not really a fan of the ED grille, however it does look ok on your car, i'd say the BA lights help the look as well

Yeah i started thinking that the Badgeless EB grill didn't suit the headlights, this one seems to suit them better i reckon.

f**k i can't wait to start that s**t.

Now to pull my finger out and get the LTD ready.

Holy s**t, you got the bracket already? wow that was fast.

Well yes i got the go ahead, but i still have a budget. So the turbo conversion will be all fabricated by me, with the only real expense being the turbo itself, and an ecu upgrade, i will be using the same cheap turbo in the snort kits.

Oh, and the LTD will get a build thread in the coming weeks, as i will soon be bogging in to getting it done. Here is a teaser pic.

YAY! i have a handbrake again!!

Its all pretty much set up exactly how an EFEL is, but i had to add a bracket under the car to make it that way.

And then it simply screws under the subframe, and the cable clips into it,

then adjust it,

And woot!! i can park on a hill again!

It's not 100% clear to me what you've done here, but as a general rule, it's good not to drill into the underside of the subframe, because that's where tensile forces are. And it's good not to drill into the subframe anywhere, because they experience torsional loads as well, that affect the entire cross section.

I've done things like this a million times, and never had a problem. I've fitted 4 link kits to replace leaf setups, made my own custom suspension, and many many other mods.
Not only have i never had a problem, but the ones i have bothered to get engineered have never been knocked back either.

I think you are being a bit paranoid, its only 2 x 4mm threads. :)

This will make absoultly no structural difference to my car.

No wukka's man,

1- I kept the EB one in there, and just replaced the terminals with ones that fit into the EF plug.

2- i have these pics to explain.

That is what i did, and its great. Some people may comment of it being un-roadworthy, but like i care. With a high tensile bolt its fine.

Having said that, when i get leather seats, i will be making proper custom rails.
