i just went through the whole thread and all i can say is WOW that is a lot of work and a hell of a lot of EF in that EB.

Found those EF rims yet?
When are you doing the mirror conversion?
Your car is awesome!

Thanks man, if my paint was as good as yours, i'd be a very happy man.

Been a bit slack actually with the mirrors, i keep forgetting to buy some. The ones off the donor were stuffed, but the holes are drilled already, and the loom is already ef, so they are straight fit, just have to get some.

I indeed found an EF rims, it should be on its way up from melbourne next week. I will then break out the polishing gear, and bring them up nice, then on with my tyres, and it should look pretty good.

:):):):)

just a few more questions...

1: how did you go about installing the handbrake lever screw or weld?? and how did you work out the correct position??

2: in the picture of the seat mod the floor is shown as flat but it is actually angled did you cut your spacer on the angle or just square? and what did you use??

no worries matey,

1 - I use high tensile bolts, and bolted it to the floor. It has 3 bolt holes, but i only used 2, as one doesn't really work with the eb floor. I just measured where the bolt holes in the ef where, and marked them on my floor. Same goes with the hole for the cable, f i remember correctly it was a 32mm holesaw, but make sure you double check that measurement.

2 - Yes its only a quick dodgy drawing. I used high tensile hollow steel tube, with an od of 22mm and id of 12 mm, i cut it straight at 77mm, and welded a 5mm thick washer on each end for a "wear pad". Although this is not really needed, i just did it anyway. Don't worry about the angle, it'll pull straight when you tighten it up.

Andrew

Not much of an update besides that i'm closer to having the ltd on the road, meaning closer to do more work to the EB. I have decided against the turbo, and instead going to fit a mad cam and headwork combo. You just can't beat the lumpy soundz!

DAMN STRAIGHT.
Have a chat to my cousin EDFairmont4.0, he just got a new cam (camtech) and rebuilt his 4.0ltr (compression ratio now 10:1) and he is very pleased with it. Although, I think that my cam sounds better :D
