i agree, i think hes planning on grafting a Fairmont bumper to the front, if he did the rear one as well it would smooth out the boxcar shape, without changing it too much

You reckon the back bar would look silly though???

I thought it'd be too round and make it look like its tucking its a** under?

Thanks mate, i try to make it good readin.

Finally got rid of the EL hubcaps and steelies, and fitted EF mont rims, thanks to OZBMX for helping me out with 2 rims with matching tread, and i got my 2 good tyres put on my other rims.

I cleaned and polished them this morn with "brite shine" great s**t. Here is a few pics with my BF Mont in the pic too.

I like it heaps better than the hubcaps, but thats obvious, the caps weren't meant to be on it that long anyway.

On another note, i went to the wreckers for a few things today
- GOOD cappa roof lining
- EL rocker cover bolts
- A spare crank angle sensor to experiment with
- Spare shims for a wheel alignment

And my result was FAIL

No good roof linings except 1 EF Ghia with cappa had a perfect lining, before being rolled and creasing the roof causing the lining to be fkd, i forgot the right spanner for the bolts and crank sens, forgot to get the shims, so i came home with the mont badges off said ghia to put on my doorcards in the front, and mine never had them there, and i quite like them.

Anyway,

Andrew.

looks classy with those rims and dumped to China lol

btw, did you pull off the dust covers... cause when the dirt builds up on them it makes the wheels look like hubcaps... downside is those wheels are a b**ch to clean so invest in some good spray-on wheel cleaner

thanks guys,

yes classy is exactly what i'm trying to acheive, and yeah i pulled the plastic backing things out, looks heaps better with them gone. They were all grey stained and looked s**t. The briteshine brought them up great, but yeah took a couple of hours to clean and polish them, so i think i will invest in some good spray wheel cleaner. Can ya'll suggest one?

Hey,

i scored some woodgrain trims, the plastic ones not the real timber ones.

Image
Before i fit them i was going to rub them back and re clear them, that should get the few small scratches out. But before i do that, i am going to make moulds of them so i can make some out of fibreglass, experiment with them, and maybe sell some. I might make slightly different moulds and make some for my BF, and the LTD too.
