Firstly, an updated specs list, then the story begins. GENERAL MAKE: Ford MODEL: EBII turned Fairmont Ghia Sedan YEAR: 1992 COLOUR: Silver MECHANICAL ENGINE: EF Fairmont I6, Lots of headwork, wade1543b, tiperformance programmable chip, au headgasket and bolts, au injectors TRANSMISSION: Factory T-5 DIFFERENTIAL: EF Fairmont LSD BRAKES: Standard EF SUSPENSION: Pedders custom springs - pedders short body shcoks EXHAUST: Pacie 4480's 2.5" pipe and cat, single straight through muffler. STYLING WHEELS/TYRES: 15" EF Mont rims INTERIOR: Complete EF Fairmont "cappacino" leather interior, including all electrics, EXTERIOR: Clear front indicators, clear side repeaters, LED centre brake light, Ba headlight conversion, ED Ghia grill IN CAR ENTERTAINMENT: Factory EF Ghia premium sound system, JL audio front speakers, hertz rear speakers, Factory amp and Sony 10", Alpine 6 stacker MP3 OTHER FUTURE PLANS: New paint, New boot carpet, New hoodlining, MONEY SPENT SO FAR: Approx $5000 including car purchase CREDITS/THANKS: To my girl for helping, putting up with it, paying for stuff, and all my mates for helping whenever i wanna change something. This is my EBII GLI 5 speed. Sounds stupid, but since being a kid, i always wanted one. I finally bought one 9 months ago for $2000. Its still strong in the mechanicals (besides the diff and the engins oil leaks), but the interior was stuffed, and the paint has some slight fade on the roof, and a couple of tiny shopping centre dints. By the end of the year it'll have new paint. My additions so far have been some clear front indicators, a cd player, new speakers and a 10 inch sub, a full 2.5" exhaust system, and slamming it to slightly lower than ultralow. More recently i fitted EL GLI door trims, HOWEVER, i just picked up a EF Fairmont with some front damage. So all of the loom, electrics, engine, interior and diff out of it are going in mine. All of it is perfect, so i'll have a great EB that benefits from the EF engine and electrics, and rdidn' in comfort of velour and updated interior. Some pics I can't wait to have the EF running gear, electrics and interior fitted, it'll be nice. Conversion is in 2 weeks. Anyway, enjoy. Andrew. [/img]

EB"S with the EF/EL dash/trims etc look awsome. shes sits nice too what springs and shocks? im looking at lowering mine cheers |

Yes the trims really make the car feel newer, while keeping the boxcar style. Although i can't wait to have all the fairmont trims, electricxs and dash in, that'll be prime. Suspension has been in testing, So far i've been fine, so here goes.. For the first few months, the shocks were stock, with just chopped springs to see if i like the height, Because its been fine, i now have custom springs at said height and 8kg/mm front, 7kg/mm rear, and monroe GT shocks. I was thinking about going lower, but its trouble enough now. There is a few new bushes, and i'll be putting the rest in when i put the EF diff in. Thats about all the suspension now, maybe some thicker swaybars later. Andrew.

Hey there.
Today while hungover i decided to just do some easy stuff, so i started removing all the interior trimming out of there rear of the donor car for cleaning. Everything actually looks pretty good, but it came up like new, even the seats were a little soiled, now they are great. Also modified the EF airbox to fit in a K & N pod. I simply cut the inner rubber/plastic tube down to sit the pod like this Then i used a 3" aloloy bend to achieve this And it fits sweet as. Now i just have to open up the bottm of the box and run a sealed cold air intake, however i can't really do this until its actually mounted in the EB, just so i get it dead right. Yeah dads rock...
However, when i'm not at dads, this is my stupid townhouse work area Today i pulled the rear seats and some trims out of the EB. This is my parcel shelf. This is obvios. Man it was dirty under it from the parcel shelf falling apart. I spent a while cleaning it. And this is the EF Fairmont one all fitted. I just have to fit a strengthening plate and nut for the middle seat belt. While i was doing all this, my missus shampooed the Fairmont seats for me. They came up mint. And lastly, i repainted inside the centre light bracket, and customised the lense a littl just because. More to come. Andrew.

u do realise the ef loom isnt plug and play with the ea - eb -ed. you have to modify the looms which im sure benj will be more then happy to help u with

I don't think you understand the conversion...
I am installing the ENTIRE EF loom, from front to back, including ALL EF electrical components besides the headlights and taillights. These are the only things i'll have to wire, which will be easy to do by simply fitting the EB headlight and taillight plugs to the EF loom. Everything else will indeed be plug and play. Andrew.

Yes this is why i jumped at buying the whole fairmont, makes it so much easier.
I actually got offered an engine with only 120klms on it the same day i looked at the mont, but it was only the engine, and only $100 less than the whole car. :thumbsup: Andrew.

WOO HOO!
Just found it its a long weekend this weekend, and because i don't work fridays, i have 4 days! So i'm doing the conversion this weekend, hopefully all of it. So today io bought the engine mounts, (mine a broken) and tomorrow i'll buy some plugs for the EF motor, and today i bought a new keyfob so i can use the original smartlock and central locking.
