So this is my build thread for my EF Falcon Fairmont GHIA 1995 model, im actually buying this car off my parents (in the middle of paying it off). the car is in pretty good condition tbh although some parts of the paint need to be resprayed (little bits of rust comeing through).
I dont have any pictures of the car from when we first bought it.

But i do have some of the car now, but will be uploaded as soon as there finished uploading to photo bucket

Mods done so far
- New rims
- 3" straight through exhaust (all i know about it my dad put it on)
- New window tinting
- Head liner fixxed
- Half way through Painting the Window Frames as theyve faded
already done the rear quaters

Mods to be done
- Contemplating whether or not to do a full EF-ED engine conversion
(have a fully reconned ED engine in the shed) but think i should because im already putting the ED head on the car
- Replace all speakers and have them wired in (half done) got the ones on the parcel shelf done and have the sub in the boot
- Extractors
- Clear Indicator Lights
- Respray of areas where paint is rough and where small dots of rust are comeing through (Not visible from a distance)
- Thinking about putting a EF spoiler on the boot
- Dump it on Superlows
- Stainless steel or Ba Intake (with pod filter)
- Paint the grill chrome

anything else you guys think i should do?

Pics are yet to come photo bucket it slow as s**t!

Nice looking Fairmont there mate.

I like the wheels. They will look better after you lower the car a bit.

HKS stickers are for Japanese wannabees, or for cars with the HKS turbo gear on them. Not really suited to a classy ride like an EF Fairmont.

Before you put the ED engine in, check with your Rego ppl, as the engine is older than your car, and there MAY be an issue due to that. In reality, they are basically the same block, and as long as all the emissions gear is still there, and you have LPG it should be ok. Just check to be sure.

Cheers
BenJ

Exact same thought i had, those rims on a fairmont with superlows all round would make it look tough as nails

Been trying to find a set of those ROH Chicanes for while, they look mint on a dumped e-series and they are nice and wide so you can chuck plenty of rubber around them.

Im with the others regarding the HKS stickers, lose them, quick

hey just an update ive decided to go through with the EF to ED engine swap soo fair bit of work is ahead of me :P
and just a quick question
when painting the rocker cover should i have used High temperature primer? or can i use normal primer? because i used normal and now i have a feeling that its gonna go to s**t cause of the normal primer. im thinking of stripping it back any way cause the paints gotten cracks in it and s**t for some reason even though its been sitting in the shed for awhile.

it dont really matter..
ive used normal undercoat, normal auto paint and clear on rocker covers before and the paint was fine..
its all in the preperation!!
i even painted my calipers with normal auto body paint and 4 years later the paint is still on there..

hks sticker removal should be the 1st mod.. lol perhaps get some "e-series" or "fordmods.com" stickers in it's place.. and lowering her will definatly improve looks..

ok then thats alright, sadly i did a pretty dodge job of preparing it :S im actually now thinking about completely stripping the rocker cover and polishing it not too sure yet though because if i do there will be quite a bit of polished bits under the hood
but then i dont know what colour too repaint the rocker cover because the "ford blue" isnt doing it for me any more
so any one got any suggestions on what colour paint i should use?
