Yeah i figures since the rest of the trim is grey it would tie in nicley- too much color can look cheap and tacky when people just paint it all straight up without pullin it apart or taping things up.

Yeah there is alot of effort put into them and each to their own but to me they both look overdone. Simple, Effective and Practical is what i am going for with the wagon.

Had a trial fit of the new dash tonight after i ran the rca cables and amp wire. Didnt fit the instrument cluster but it should be in and finished tomorrow night providing all goes well.

Here are some pics of it- need to adjust the cd player so it sits in there centred but has come along nicely so far.

Cheers guys, I am pretty happy with it at the moment. The clock turned up today so that has been fitted but the leds wont be here till next week. Not happy at all with this as last time it was an overnight service. :( Was hoping to have the instrument cluster finished tomorrow night. Does anyone have any recommendations for what color to do the door inserts- as the originals are coming off and i have already tried repairing them once- i was thinking a vinyl color similar to the dash grey but still unsure- any ideas are welcome.

It only has Gli trims plus i have a 12 month old son as well as a 3 week old son so ripple trim would get wrecked- going to do cheap vinyl trim just want to know who has done colors that go with white well as i dont want white near the kids. lol

light grey would be my choice, does your seats have any colours in them? like my fairlane the seats are velour, but they have little squares in them that have red blue and silver in them. or you could find some seats and rip the fabric off so your inserts match the seats like EA-ED's

Seats have covers on them atm but i am going to put the white throw overs on it as well- just to keep a little more white inside it. I think grey will be the way to go. at least vinyl is easy to clean when the kids spill crpa everywhere.lol

i dont know how full on you wanna go, but if you throw some red or blue inserts in the seats you can use the same fabric on the door trims.. i like the thought of red inserts tho..

Hey man I reccommend getting some white vinyl for your door inserts and then using red or blue to do either the upper or lower parts of your doors or dash. I would also say stay away fromt the vinyl dye, especially on the upper parts of the door trims

nah man, 2 kids and white door trims dont mix. will most likely just go with a straight grey vinyl. Was going to get someone to do it but if i do vinyl i will just do it myself.
