So place the trans on the ground? And how would I drop the engine wouldn't the kframe be in the way etc sorry for the noob question all seems easy till this bit lol.

I'd say pull the engine and box out as one, it is alot easier and faster dont have to get to those hard bolts and that

Nah would like to leave it in, got nothing to cap the end etc and it just these bellhousing bolts, will have another crack at it tomorrow.

Ride: EF Fairmont, XG Ute

Undo the engine mounts and the trans mount, then the auto will angle down towards the floor and you will have more room to get the top bolts. The engine sits on the K Frame and holds it all up. At the end just jack it back into position and bolt it back up.

You can get plugs to put in the trans to stop the fluid coming out from Super cheap etc. I've never used one but I will buy one when I see one.

hey guys taken the BBM off to get to the bellhousing bolts (and wanna clean/paint it anyways) and I've notice this...

hey guys gonna be finally pulling this engine out tomorrow, leaving box in still has I just got to do 2 bell housing bolts and torque converter bolt (almost forgot :|) and got some heavy duty chain....had a feeling I wouldn't use the rope lol.

anyone got advice on removing 2 stuck torque converter bolts?, bloody things wont move!
