Hi guys rocker gear finally back on and torqued down, seems all good.

tomorrow onto sump gasket, 2 more welch plugs (rear and behind the fake dissy thing on these lol) and need another valve cover gasket, got one but dont fit (says ED on it, thought they were all the same?) has extra left on it somehow....need to get the bolt grommet pack anyways,

then rear main seal, put everything back on with loctite and get thing back in.

oh ok that's why then, grrr oh well needed to get another one I suppose but with the bolt grommets this time,

and yeah highly recommend captain thread, was a good experience, took all of 10-15mins with talking involved and I'm not much of a talker at times in person, so that's saying something, though in saying that hope I don't see him again haha lol, thought I was with 4 bolts didn't want to move and me thinking thread on them were shot to, but all went down all good.

still a lot to do but will get there, hopefully get me P's next week or so (so I can drive this thing after putting all this work to it....if it even runs haha)

hey guys was just wondering, if the rocker gear is installed right, can the rocker gear arms be move from the valve spring when it's not compressed?, have some that I can still move away from the valve spring and pretty sure that aren't right.

when they are compressed down, I can't move it.

Thanks.

Thanks mate, feels good doing it all myself, defiantly a rewarding feeling, and good luck with your build looks good too, just hoping it runs and doesn't blow up lol has dont have the funds to replace a engine :|,

the paint on the rocker cover is rough, still chips and if you look closely can see the primer in section etc but long has it stays on for a couple months and will redo it properly etc,

and yeah think I may need to change my alternator, got coolant and power steering fluid in it so think it may be stuff.....currently trying to find that plug thing that goes on before the nut above the connector lost the darn think, cant find might walk to the wreckers up the road.

anyways need to do house work for the misses!
