well guys i have said goodbye to my red ef futura and i have upgraded to this new sillohette au I fairmont.

i paid $4000 for it and it came lowered with extractors mags straight with only one very easily pullable dint.

nice tidy mont you have there. i tried for ages to find a black au fairmont to no avail. so i painted my ameretto mont black instead lol.

yeh thanks guys i couldnt believe my luck, with extractors lowered and with chromies for only $4000. i think i got a bargain

thanks for the kind words, hey i was wondering about some nice tidy mods to do to it that dont cost a fortune. LED everythings of course cos i sell them on ebay so i will prob do that soon. but is there anything else that would make it look better?? Leather interior is on the cards too.

and heres the engine bay, it was pretty dirty wen i got it but i have started usin a little autosol to get the alloy shiny again like a mirror

mine is black but it must have been resprayed cos it has blue sparkles through it in the sun

i think the phantom colour has a blue pearl in it, hence the blue sparkles. one way to find out, get the paint code off the compliance plate and head to the paint shop, they can look up the code and give you the name of the original colour of the car.

NAH THE PLATE SAYS ST WHICH IS SILLOHETTE BUT I THOUGHT THAT WAS JUST SRAIGHT BLACK. HOWEVER I DID HAVE AN ED THAT WAS CALLED EVERGREN AND AT NITE IT WAS BLACK, IN SUN GREEN AND IN RAIN IT WAS BLUE LOL. SO U CAN IMAGINE MY DISGUST AT THE PRICE IT COST TO RESPRAY 2 PANELS LOL BLOODY FORD PEARL COLOURS LOL

i just painted my au mont black, and the only way we could get just straight black was to mix 3 different black tinters together, because each different tinter has a different colour in it. like jet black has a shade of blue in it. well worth the extra effort though. here is a pic, not totally back together yet.

WELL THATS INTERESTING, I NEVER KNEW THAT. THANKS FOR THE INFO. IT DOES LOOK BLACK BUT IN THE SUN IT HAS BLUE SPECKS. IN THE SHADE IT LOOKS LIKE DUST LOL

f**k yeah mate, nice rig, let us know when you want the leather as we have an interior at work, otherwise, yeah black is a C*** to keep looking clean well dark colours in general, my tritons balck and silve, and my monts gunmetal grey, I gave up long ago keeping them clean though. :lol: :oops:
