Rightio, ill start by saying im still keen for coil overs...

but in the mean time, im looking at getting myself Monroe GT sport shocks/struts and a set of KING springs... just as a quick fix to settle this STOCK AS A ROCK appearence. ummm considering it will be on 17's for a while, then hopefully a set of G6E rims (18's)... superlow or ultralows for the king springs?? or a combination??

the next little thing will be patching up the AU XR rims i have, and maybe painting them (black or just alloy silver again?)... but just waiting for the Pirelli's to wear out that came with the car.

Hmm someone tell me this is a dumb idea, but I've had an idea bugging me all day.

I want a new exhaust, and I'm a tightass... Sooo...
Instead of getting an exhaust now and another one when I put forced induction in, I was thinking of getting a 2.5" system now, then when I put in forced induction I was going to buy another identical 2.5" system to make up a DIY dual 2.5" system??

I was going to test the idea by welding up two stock exhausts... Since I will be having access to some stock stuff soon... Just for s**t...

Also can anyone recommend a trans cooler kit for my 5spd? I saw a nice kit on summit, but it's almost more in freight then it is for the product.
Also, are they generic? If I upgrade to a ZF 6 spd, will the kit be able to just stay on the car?

This one will ONLY fit the 5sp. It's the only one I could find off a quick search.

They are pricey compared to the summit ones, have to look into those a bit further I think... Surely it would just be fittings that change from the 5spd to the 6spd.

Well thanks to Uniacidz, I'm $150-ish poorer then I was, which was poor... But hopefully my paint work will appreciate it... Now just have to find a nice shady carport or something to use it all in... :/

Plus I got a new chamois and some detailing cloths to add to my collection...

Na, I need to go hire me a slave to use all this stuff now... It's a mission...

So that's my collection, plus a big tub full of random microfiber cloths, rags, etc...
Stuff on the right is redundant now, old stuff for the black ute and it's torn'o ( <- can't spell to save myself) cover.
Oh I also have a trade tools variable speed polisher (you can see the pads for it in the photo), which now that I think of it needs new pads. Cause they are all embedded with filth off the black ute.

So yeah... Point of my story is cars are expensive things to look after properly lol

Right... After looking at some cars on ford forums, I have decided I'm going to paint my AU XR rims up black (either gloss or satin) then put a matching red pinstripe on them... Cheap custom rims for something different. Though I'm thinking at some point I'll need darkest legal tint to set that black/red contrast...

Though need to find some center caps or machine some aluminum disks at work to glue in...

Yeah if you want to get rid of them I'll definitely take them... :)

LOL what did i do???

Hey let me know how the nupolish and Tech 2.0 wax goes. Very very interested in those two.

Be gentle with scratchX 2.0 as well, push too hard and will scratch the surface with light swirls etc.

You were being very persuasive, that's what you did... Lol

Yeah will do, don't hold your breath though. Will be 2-3 weeks before I get the time to do it properly. Quick question, but clay bars... When are they required? Would it be useful to clay bath it before your process?

I'm kinda nervous to use that scratchX 2.0, scared ill do more harm then good :/

Well the before and after images were persuasive... Supercheap should give you a commission lol I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Hmm... A step ahead of you, already read through it and googled it... Awfully tempting. Would be good to have figures to see small gains and changes in the car.

Yeah I guess I'll just have to take my time and be very patient... Which will be hard for me... But oh well. Price you pay for the gain...

Cheers, I should be alright then. It's reasonably smooth, just covered in swirl marks...

Yeah my car desperately needs a good clean and polish etc, gets filthy at work... work in an industrial estate next to a store yard on a dirt road :/

So yeah, will let you know how it goes...
Cheers again for the guidance, greatly appreciated.
