Yeah, I'm silly enough to like the old XDs and XFs, lol
First, my old XF (RIP), from the day I got it, to the day I started pulling it apart. It started off as an 85 GL, carby, auto, aircon but no p/s. I put in some extractors and decent exhaust, digi instrument cluster, put some alloy wheels on, XG grille, some fresh paint, 4 speed manual, 2.77:1 LSD, LTD seats and centre console, LPG install, chrome air filter, EFI rocker cover, and a few other lttle things... And lowered. Then it was time to call it quits, I got my XD wagon for the huge sum of $50, and it was in better condition then the XF (XF needed the whole front suspension rebuilt, head gasket went, and there were lots of other things starting to go wrong, besides the wagon is much more practical) So now the XF is being stripped and almost everything is for sale from it, asides from what is finding it's way into the XD (next post)... |

My $50 XD wagon:
4.1 iron head 6 cyl with column shift auto and 2.92:1 open diff. Air con but no power steer... Engine seemed good, and most importantly, almost no rust and the body is pretty straight. Put some 12 slotters on it, in went my LTD front seats and console, stereo, power steering was put in it, the basic instrument cluster was swapped for a better one, and that's the point it's at today: Still lots more to do, but it's getting there... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3dQB4JrMMA recently recorded http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yEViiOoIUw recorded before I got it registered |

The XD will be getting some snowflakes on it later this week, just for a bit of a change really, will still have the 12 slotters. While personally I prefer the 12 slotters, a few people have already said they prefer the snowies, either way it's not hard to change 4 tyres over |
