Ride: 1992 Ford Fairmont

Location: Sydney
NSW, Australia

Hey guys, here's my other ride and although not a Ford, I hope you guys will still like it...
So here are the details:
Make: Toyota
Model: 4Runner
Year:1985
Km's: 328,XXX

We picked it up a couple of months ago to fix up a bit so I can drive it on my P's. It's overall in very good condition for it's age, with a few small dents, scratches and rust spots here and there but that comes with a 25 year old vehicle. It's been raised by about 3 inches, it's got relatively enormous tyres (not sure of the actual size), a 2" exhaust and ENTIRELY new suspension. We got it for $4000, which is a bargain considering it came with it's 4 orginal wheels, plus the new ones which are worth about $1200, and the suspension which the guy had a receipt saying $3000 from pedders and it being it good condition, so what's been done to it costs more than what we got it for, so yeah I'm pretty happy with it.
Now for the pics (be warned there's heaps)

The day I saw it on the side of the road

The day we brought it home

And then the next day after we finally got the roof off

And then when it started to rain...

Thanks guys

Haha... Must say I do love the "soft top"... :P

Just careful you don't roll it when cornering hard... It is rather high... :?

Cheers,
Tim

Yeah thanks the 'soft top' is awesome fun, and it's currently a bit lower as we put the original wheels and tyres on..

Either get some original side steps or some better rock sliders made up- those home made tube sliders wont handle any decent rock kisses.

Well it has been decided that we will be talking the 4Runner up and over the blue mountains, out past Bathurst to a little town called Lyhndhurst where we have a property.
It should be a LOOOONG and interesting drive with the little diesel, especially with it's noisy exhaust note.
It will also add on a substantial amount of time-especially going over the mountains.
Wish us luck!
