so it went from that old red to getting painted in a custom blue mess 2 pack paint.
complete with a full scorcher kit and xr front
Image

also got some nolathane coil over so that i could get it sitting all good
Image

once i had got it all painted the 18's looked to small so i lashed out and got myself a set of 20's that set it all off great
Image
Image

now i had it all looking the goods but still had a EB 4ltr under the hood with not a great deal of power so that was to be the next thing on the hit list.. now when i painted the car i didn't do the engine bay so that what i have had done just 2 weeks ago.
so i have been tidying up wiring where i can and getting bits ready for the turbo engine that is to come.
so i have got a engine being built by atomic performance in sydney, they are building me an AU 660kw engine, to be paired with that i have got an hi flowed garret turbo rated to 800hp.

heres another thing that i have been working on, didn't know where to put my boost/air-fuel/oil pressure meter so i made a custom gauge holder

THat looks pretty good actually. Love the colour and interior looks nice.. I reckon you should have stayed with the 18's though, chrome 20's scream of rice.

Agree with the above, that is a sweet looking car...... but think the 18's looked a lot nicer..... I've never been a fan of chromies tho....

660kw's does not sound overly streetable?? You may have a few driveline longevity, not to mention traction issues? :-)

I love a clean freshly painted engine bay. Only thing missing is the boosted engine.

Top work.

thanks for the comments guys, yeah its been a real work in progress..
there have been a few people say that they like the 18's better but the 20's finish the look off... i wouldn't say that it look ricey just because it has chrome 20's...

yeah the boosted engine is about a month from being finished being built but i have got plenty that i can do while i am waiting.

this is a little list of what my engine is going to have

 Ultrasonic test block for maximum cylinder wall thickness (we
reject about 4 in 10 blocks)
 Crack test crank, check index & Micropolish journals
 Torque plate hone block with plateau finish for turbo rings
 Deck block parallel to crank centreline and with low Ra finish
for SLS head gasket
 Set up engine with 8.4:1 compression ratio
 Supply Atomic/Mahle forged pistons with piston crown cooling -
an Atomic exclusive
 Atomic/Mahle nitro carburised turbo rings
 ACL Competition bearings to suit pressure fed pins
 Our billet “Superleggera” conrods #306200 600Kw – 6.060”
C/C, bushed for floating pins, ARP 2000 bolts, cylindrically
ground tunnels (not honed) and pressure fed gudgeons - an
Atomic exclusive also!
 Fully balance motor
 Fully serviced cylinder head with multi angle valve job
 Atomic SuperTuff street harmonic balancer
 Atomic valvespring kit
 Crow TurboCycle camshaft SOHC - exact grind depends on
your required power level
 Atomic head stud kit
 New oil pump
 Vernier adjustable timing chain set
 Complete gasket set inc SLS head gasket
 Precision blueprint and assemble motor to our clearances
 Fit hi temp silicon rear main oil seal
 Fit new welch plugs
 Supply/fit new windage tray
 Spray block black (or any other colour you prefer)
 Supply detailed specs report and run in procedeure sheet
 Supply 8 litres of Castrol ProTec run-in oil
 Supply genuine Ford oil filter
 24 months warranty
