Thanks troyman. Next question iso if I were to swap the head is there any head in particular I should get? Just asking as I'm looking at getting another and having it milled and possibly ported. Should I go for the au head or something like a el head?

imo the best stock factory head to bolt straight on would be the 94dt, which is the ef/early el xr6 head.
if your looking for a head to do port work on the au head but then you have different cam and rockers to worry about.. otherwise the std ef head is a good one 94da but has smaller exhaust valves than the xr6 head .. std au head has the larger exhaust valve like the ef xr6 but has smaller intake port compared to the ef xr6 head.. |

If you are going to port the head, just get a 94DA. It will be cheaper to buy than the XR head and it will be ported anyway.

Ok cool ill look at some heads at my local wreckers. I got some injectors from a 2002 or 2001 au but I got the guy pulling the injectors out to put a battery in so I could see how many km it did and it had only done 32k km so I grabbed the injectors from him quick smart. They cost me $60 for the 6. I got 12 new o rings for $22 and I'm getting dad to clean them tomorrow as he has a kit of some sort that he made years ago. Hopefully I'll have them fitted up tomorrow and I'll see how they go.

Ok well dad showed me how to clean the injectors out so I did those then went and pulled out the 7 bolts that hold my fuel rail in. I carefully pulled the fuel rail out then proceeded to remove my old ev1 injectors. After they were removed I put my new o rings on the much newer ev6 injectors then sloted them into place. After all the injectors were in I bolted up the fuel rail then I changed the fuel filter. After that I started the car gave it a rev and it revved up quicker and smoother then it did with the old injectors. I'm very happy with this mod and will definitely recommend this to others.
If I were to go with a straight swap for the heads what would be better bigger exhaust valves or intake valves?

I now have a new 2.5" catback with one muffler. The old 3 muffler system was shot. The first muffler had collapsed, the second had rust holes and the rear muffler when sat on the ground started leaking out fluid. I'm guessing it was acid considering the floor it leaked onto went from dirty to white. I'm happy with the results and it doesn't drone at all.

Been awhile since last update not that anyone cares anymore. But lately I have given the lane a wash, polish and a wax looks better now I also got the windows tinted by blue whale. I'm running a 6 speaker system now which sounds great. The old seats are back in and I've fitted up some leds.

thats good, just gotta keep off the revs so it sounds sweet lol!
Side note, Need for speed is a crap movie.. I cant picture Aaron Paul in anything else as being good since I watched breaking bad...

Yeah I have my moments with it. Ever since I got the exhaust done when I pull up next to a Holden they take off the line like it's a drag race.
Haven't seen it nor do I want to as movies based on games never turn out well.
