I've run HiTech headers in 2 cars. Pacemakers in the other. No difference between brands. Any decent looking extractors is going to be better than the horrible cast manifold.

So your fairlane is a NA11? It won't have 2.77 gears UNLESS someone put them there. 2.77 disappeared when they p****d off the 3 speed auto

That's a good point about the diff ratios.. You probably have a 3.23 for the 4 spd..

There are 2 different metal tabs bolted to the back face.

One held by the filler plug usually has LSD tag.

Another smaller one held by a cover plate bolt has a part number and should have a ratio on that.

Do you know how to work it out with marks and spinning the wheel?

couldnt read it so i did the old paper and pencil trick and it says 3.23

i also think it has a lsd but i thought the 3.23 didnt get an lsd. can anyone tell me some info on this?
the reason i know it has a lsd is theres this one corner that i come round and every now and again i plant it and the left wheel spins then it locks up and stops spinning. i could be wrong but i dont know i just think it has a lsd.

also how do i check if i have abs brakes i did a road test by going to 60km/h then slam on the brakes i stop with in 10 meters without a single skid but i cant find anything that says i have abs. any help is great as im still learning about it and it didnt come with a owners manual. it came from jackson ford so do you think they might have it on record or something?

im also no longer getting the amp i wanted as i am going to get a new 2.25" 200 cell cat to replace my old one as a well running car is better than a well sounding sound system.
which cat would be better a 2.25" 200 cell stainless steel magna flow, 2.25" 200 cell stainless steel venom cat or a 2.25" 100 cell stainless steel venom cat? there isnt much difference in price the magnaflow is $125 and the venom is $170

All the fairlanes and LTDs had an LSD AFAIK..

It should have ABS on the rear garnish. Or have a look in front of the LH front wheel if there is a bit bulky unit under there the brake lines go into that's the ABS unit.

OR trace the brake lines from the master across the firewall.. If there is a line they goes directly down and out to the drivers wheel there is NO ABS...

Another way to pick it. an AVS equipped car should only have 2 lines out of the master cylinder..

Want ABS? Gotta do crunches... Lol.

you don't have ABS. It didn't come out til NC Fairlane.

May not be a LSD. easiest way to check is jack up the rear and spin a wheel while the trans is in neutral. if both wheels spin the same way, it's a LSD. if they spin opposite ways to each other, it's not an LSD.

And if you're going extractors get a set with a 2.5" collector. and get a 2.5" cat. don't bother with 2.25"

yeah im looking at 2.5 inch extractors but what about the cat why 2.5 and not 2.25 because it will just be bottle necked down to 2.25

Yeah good point SVO..

Plus all had the ABS badge.. But 3 lines is Non... 2 for front 1 to the rear..

Just try keep all diameters even with the exhaust.

Extractors to a 2.5" flange.
2.5 cat.
2.5 exhaust.

Or if you want a 2.25 system then adjust to that..

If you want 2.25, then just go all the way with it.

Extractors with 2.25 flange
2.25 cat
2.25 pipe.

Any particular reason you like 2.25? Just asking..

Don't have the money to replace it all and i like how quiet it is. Also i havent seen or can find 2.25" extractors.
