Why would you want to?
It would be an exercise in futility. It would be a step backwards from the 6 as the EB 5.0 was not very good.
If you are doing a conversion spend the extra and get a proper AU 5.0. It will cost less in the long run.

Heed these words. Not to mention you probably couldn't do it due to emissions rules.

Cheers

Also is this au a v8 or a 6 banger

Lot of effin work to get a 8 banger working in a 6 banger,

Emission laws dont allow it, but if you ran straight lpg probally get away with it

Then you gonna have a massive headache getting it to run on the 6 cylinder wiring and looms

Then you need to probally need a engineers certificte to get it road worthy

Might as well go and buy a xr8 car or try and find a xr8 motor from the same series and shove it in with all the v8 loom out of a sedan

Sell the XR8 motor and put it towards a AU XR8 motor. More than likely the easiest option; especially with emission laws as the older engine wouldn't be as "Green" as the AU's.

Dispose of your EB boat anchor, get AU motor, loom and ecu. plug and play the way its ment to be.

yeah i can see both points of view,

driving round in a l6 with a good v8 sitting in the shed not doing anything,

but then again the EB 5L would prob put out less power than the AU L6 and be heavier, so not worth the effort,

if i was you i would keep the au as is and buy a EB with a dead motor in it for a few hundered bux and dump the 5ltr in it and have it as a toy,

Then if the EB packs up you still have a perfectly good AU to get a round in.

1. older engine in newer car has different emmision standards.
2. ecu and wiring is different due to AU using different sensors etc.
3. EB stock V8 is outdated and not as good as more modern AU V8.
