Micky, thanks for the comments man. LPG isn't really all that cheap up here though, I'm not too fussed. That and I dont need to drive the car daily means petrol is fine for me.

...And the winner is...

EF Falcon!!

:D :D :D

No, but in all seriousness:

That's right, a gearbox! And not just any plain old gearbox, it's a mal wood modified T56, which means it'll actually fit an E series properly.

More pictures:

Plug in speedo adapter:

Also got the alloy csc and braided delivery and bleed lines

I also have a new tailshaft to fit, but it was damaged in transport. Mal Wood are replacing it for me as we speak.

I've had a few days working on it this week, just going slow and taking my time. T5 is all out, pedal assembly is in, flywheel and clutch are in.

Shopping list of whats left till I can drive it:
Fit bellhousing to car
Fit crossmember to gearbox
Fit gearbox to car
Measure up where the hydraulic clutch line needs to go through the firewall and then make it happen
Little bit of electrics for the reverse lock out solenoid and what not.

Then go for a drive! :D

Some pics next to the T5.

You can see the new box is way beefier, but is still almost the same length, possibly even a touch shorter. Saves a lot of hassles and legalities of using a BA T56 that will come up through the trans tunnel.

Going away for a few days tomorrow and then straight back out to work, so looking forward to getting a bit of time to get in and finish it up!!

By the way, big kudos to Mal Wood Auto. Did me a good deal on the kit (no, i don't particularly feel like telling you how much it cost just yet, I'm still reeling from it myself! ) and have been fantastic with the post sales service - especially with the damaged tail shaft (which was not their fault, just bad luck).

Oh and thanks to Brett (67RCE) for the set of diff gears I picked up from him while I was in Brissy the other week.

Looking at getting them put in some time in the next few weeks by Tickford_6.

Good times!

All I'm seeing is lots of big impressive boxes and not many pics of them being put to good use.

Driving pics will come when I get some time back home from work. Skid pics will come as soon as I am comfortable enough with the tune. Which hopefully wont be too far away.

I'm still holding back all judgement and comments till I finally get to go for a ride...!
I'm not saying it's taking FOREVER Nicco. But with how long it has been since you bolted the charger on, I am getting impatient. I will accept the motto "Perfection takes time" for now though. Because you have got quite a few very nice goodies that will make it all the better.
So no dissappointments
