orightty then kidlets. its been too long without tinkering!

Got hold of a spare set of taillights of Nigel recently so i could try and mod them the same way as first shown to me by Mark154R.

I did one this arvo (its bloody difficult trying to split the lights open without using an oven (i live on campus at uni, so no kitchens for us :( ) instead had to fill the sink with boiling water and hope no one asked why i was in the bathroom with a taillight!!

i think it came up s**t hot. I've still got to do the other one and im not sure when i will get the time, so for now the stockies are back in, but these should whet the appetite.

s**t sorry plper, completely missed your message. to seal them back up i actually just re-heated them in the oven and jammed them back together. being in townsville we've had s**t of rain in the last few weeks (over 200mm in 24 hours the other day! and i haven't had any moisture getting back in.

mitchell, just finished up mechanical engineering. you do uni?

so for everyone, stereo rebuild has started. i am making a lot of effort to ensure nice straight cuts this time (last ones were a bit shonky in places) and spending heaps of effort making sure that the spare tyre comes out unimpeded.

the frame work is already in place, so tomorrow my mate and i will lay the floor. depending on time we will carpet it either tomorrow or next weekend. will show photos soon

 you two muppets! ha ha

turned out it was a mates birthday today, so i only got a bit done. frame work is finished and the floor sections are finished. gotta cut them for the bi-folds now and then carpet it. will either do that during the week or next weekend.

i've got a couple of quick photos of the flat floor done now, will put them up later.

Hey nicco.

Nice build you have going here, i love what you've done with the taillights. Its these kind of mods on a budget that make all the difference. :)

Andrew.

Well now with the cash rolling in....

You can do all the sweet mods. I'm expecting to see some very high quality work. :D

I'm picturing your car with Simmons FR19's....

You know you want to! :P

mitch: that picture cracked me up. nicely done. even my commodore owning housemate laughed!

andrew: yeah thanks man, the little things really do make the difference though don't they. I've been keeping an eye on your build too, coming along really well.

dan: damn you man!! i love simmons FRs, but they are so damn expensive. maybe a set of FR18s might go alright to :P

i've got some wacky schemes that i am dreaming up, and directions to take it without blowing the budget. but i wont be telling anyone about them cause i dont want to sound like a t***! we'll wait and see what eventuates from it all
