Those clutch to flywheel bolts are over rated. The ones that hold the dash in work just as well.
I've put all the horses I can through it, and it's sweet so far. I'm going to have a break now. Someone find my OFF button for me..... |

The cupholders are from a U12 Bluebird, Ghia5L was the first to do it IIRC

XFwagon, I miss the speights lving up here. I mean I can buy it but you can't beat $2 pints at the Nelson garrison. As for the short shifter, I'm just waiting to see how your's goes! hahahaha, if it's good as I'll be in there fiend is right about the clutch bolts, in his we just used whatever fit from the bottom of the pit and such, but I would reccomend going to an engineering joint and getting some high tensile for probably less than 10 bucks just for piece of mind...
Dam I thought those cup holders were an original idea for once!! Ah well I still like them. I just brought a thin re strip down from the earth on the back of my stere ere o and slid it into a convenient slot on top of the holders to hold the back up. Then extended the mounting points on either side of the unit and self tapped them into the dash to hold up the front. Obviously then all that was to be done was cut out the pre etched part from underneath sed stere ere o on the facia and bobs your third cousin, twice removed.

Mate --- The bolts used are fine. Even tho you went to all the effort of finding a "correct" bolt for the bellhousing, you only showed up with bolts stamped 8.8 on top. We had stronger than that laying around in the garage. And you would get by without the 8.8 even I'd suggest. Just how many bolts are there holding those bloody bellhousings on again?!!! Probably two or three too many!!! (Especially when you're the one taking them out of the auto bellhousing! Hahahahah!)
Even the bolts holding the sump on 4WD Subaru gearboxes would work fine. They're strong enough anyway. Pretty much anything with 8.8 on top, or maybe go for a 10.9 if you're that worried (you shouldn't be - just do them up to proper torque settings and she'll be right mate ) The old American way of marking 8.8 is to have six radial lines (ie - extending from near middle to outside radius), the more human amongst us may recognise bolts heads stamped 8.8 or 10.9 for what they are. Rightiho then, nerd hat taken off....... |

Hahaha, yeah your a bell housing bolt machine fiend. But those four bolts I got were to hold the box to the bellhousing, and I have no regrets about the half hour work paid me for to go get them...
Interior bolt neccessity is one thing but when theres 900nm of torque being transferred to the rear wheels, I take no chances

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hahaha, sadly if I did that right now, the girlfriend would leave me, mum wouldn't talk to me, and I wouldn't be allowed to see the kids.
But soon the 3.08 has to go, as too does the boat suspension.

I need to do something about my rear suspension and diff as well, as the Fairlanes are ment to be a lounge chair on wheels and it floats around corners. Josh |

Hahaha, that's a pretty good description. Found out one major flaw in my own set up. The rear sway somewhat jiggles and rattles when you move it. Loose as D Bushings(the ones that attach it to the diff). Picking up a nolathane pair next week, apparently with slits in them so you don't have to slide them all the way onto the bar, which is good cos the bar can stay in until I do something about the diff
