Hey Guys,
Quickly a little info on myself then i'll get into the build guide, My names scotty, im 22 from victoria, as most young teens, my first car became my first love, so many plans so much money wasted, My first car was a VN Commodore with about 5 grand of work done to it, anyhow now i've grown up, i wanted something a bit classier, which is where the fairmont got my attention, I've recently made the conversion from Holden to ford and purchased an AU II Fairmont (Auto) with factory IRS & LSD (yay).

Purchase Price: $1000 With 1 Month Reg.
Roadworthy Needed: Windscreen, Brake Rotors, Tail Light

Total Cost to date: $1300

I do have a MAX Budget of around $15,000 Long term for this car, but as most projects go, as my love increases for this car, im sure i will exceed my planned budget.

Im mainly after a tough streeter, I am mainly looking for bottom end power, I have no need to go over 140kmh although id like to get there as quick as possible.

I've managed to scavenge the sound system out of the VN & put it in the AU.

Current Mods:
Altezza tail lights, Came with car, look terrible will be changing them to stock tinted lights.
Sony Headunit
2x Kicker CVR 400 RMS x2 Subs in kicker ported box
Alpine MRP-1000 mono Amp

Future mods are:
- Stockies (Silver, Chrome Trims)
- Replace with stock tail lights & Tint
- Tint
- Suspension
- BA XR8 Bonnet Buldge
- Respray (same color)
- XR8/XR6T Snorkel
- 3-inch airbox exit
- BA induction tube
- Pacemaker PH4480 "Competition"
- high-flow cat
- mandrel-bent cat-back exhaust. 2.5" Exhaust, With upgrade to 3" When i add raptor kit.
- XR6 ECU and 300kpa fuel pressure regulator
- Mild Cam
- bigger Transcooler
- modify the stock convertor to a higher stall (2500-2700 rpm)
- higher diff ratio: 3.7s
- Stage 2 Shift Kit.
J3 Tip, Dyno Tune.

Thanks XR6 Wagon for the advice :D

& Unsure where to go from there, but more then open for suggestions, wanting to keep N/A for the time being, going with a raptor setup in longterm

Without further adue, here's some pics of the girl.

First things first, after buying, Major service.

Bought Penrite HPR-10 oil fully synthetic with extra zinc or something? 10-50.

Apparently, when you give your car a hard time the oil consistancy changes giving your engine more protection, whether or not this is true, im unsure, but i'll give it a go.

Oil $56

Also bought Bosch motorsport Leads $110.

K&N Reusable Hi flow panel filter $85
K&N Oil Filter $35 Wrench on wrench off style.
Bosch Fuel Filter $25

Still to buy,

Diff Oil, Suggested brands? and what rating? i have no idea of the diff oils or where to buy them.
Gearbox Oil?
Brake fluid?
P/S Fluid
Spark plugs, I Have found an Autolite spark plug dealer locally, but im unsure which model # they use in the JMM Dev packages, anyone got any idea on what the model number is on the ones that give those few extra kW

After buying the following...
K&N oil filter
K&N high flow air filter
penrite f/s oil
Nulon multi atf f/s oil
Bosch motor sportleads iridium plugs
Red line diff oil
I started the service to find out one of my spark plugs was threaded in the head needing to get that replaced I got a new thread bored out for $100 to find out a coil was stuffed. Replaced it and also replaces my tail light loom.
Switching to tinted stock tail lights now then working on looks before adding more audio and performance

Best move, make the engine breath, look at a BA or BF intake, better flow. You can use you current airbox and fit a BA XR6T Snorkle.
