Another update with the car. It was time for some new brakes. I hit up QFM and got some HPX. I also got some blue steel braided brake lines from Matt at Race Brakes Sydney. Very helpful guy and pretty cheap to.

I was going to get some RDA slotted for the rear but no one had any in stock so ill be going to the mech next week to get them replaced and rear pads as well.

I also decided it was a good time to replace the radiator as the car had done 120k and 5 years old so it was only down hill from there with the radiator. George (thanks again mate) hooked me up with a crackin good deal on a genuine radiator and to my surprise it was twice as thick as the standard one (see below)
As always took lots of pics :-)

So this should hopefully be the last update for quite sometime (fingers crossed). Anyways I was back at the mechanics to get my rear rotors replaced with some nice slotted RDA as well as get the QFM HPX pads put in.
I also got some new rims fitted up, thanks again to George for hooking me up with them. I decided to go down a size as I was sick of my 19s buckling on Sydney’s s**t roads. Anyways I went with the FG XR8/6T standard rims and love them. Really happy with how the car turned out, plus the ride is a little softer.

As always lots of pics along the way

Old Rims (look out for them in the for sale section – going really cheap!)

Image
Old Rotor removed (was a real prick because of the rust)

Got a pic of the inside of my stuffed diff, apparently it was one of the teeth in my spider gear which disintegrated

New Rotor in place

Sexy new FG XR8/6T rims

Fitted up – its riding low because my old rims were in the boot and back seat

Actually that looks pretty damn good.
What did the wheels set you back if I may ask?

Thanks mate, the rims or the tyres? The tyres were about $540 the rims $1500, pretty pricey for 18s but they are genuine Ford so I am more than happy with that

They do look rather sweet Phil and now I will have to move my a*** and get mine fitted :D
I have all new bushes and ball joints for the front upper and lower arms and the rear arms have all new bushes and there will be NEW shock goodness. :)

I do have one new things I am going to do though. When I do the Booster and master cylinder change I am going to replace the back brakes with something a little different than what I was going to originally. I have decided to put 328mm rear vented rotors and the High Performance PBR Calipers.
The only DOWN side is that I will also have to change the brake backing plates. :(

And no, I don't really think you're a bastard. :)
