Hey George

Long time no speak! Thanks for your words mate, yeah they had to muck around a lot with my car because of the kit, so needed to get the stripe kit in and also buy new side skirts as they broke mine when taking them off so all this extra stuff needed to be approved by Ford which they did however made it take longer (which I didn't mind as the rental was good).

You don't still happen to have any connections on where I can get a replacement door arm from? I rang spare parts at Power Ford and they said the only changeable part is the silver stripe otherwise you need a whole new trim at around $1000 which obviously isn't an option.

Thanks mate

Those door trims are MIP (made in plant) and when they run out, that's it, the obsolete them. Power Ford is right, you HAVE to buy a door trim to get what you want, sad. Maybe Macarthurs have a busted door trim that you could get the handle off? Seeing as they are a sponsor here on the Forums.

Just go to a wreckers and find a BF that still has the door trim that's intact?

Cheers

They are showing 5 BA's and 1 BA Fairlane. No BF's are shown in stock.

i went to pick n pay less yesterday and you would be lucky to find anything good interior wise from a b series or even au for that matter....

thats the problem with p&p there cars are left out in the open yard, so anything good is raped early or broken by people trying to get other parts, then the wether just ruins the rest...

macurther parts would be the best shot, or there is fordpro if you want to pay more than expected...

Thanks so much guys, guess ill give P&P a miss then!

Yeah I've emailed Tony at Macurther parts so just waiting to hear back from him. I am still going to fight this in the new year with Power Ford. If I can compromise perhaps they can give me the part or at least sell it for cost to me in order for me to go away :-)

Cheers

Phil

Well there might be a little update on this, took a Focus ST for a test drive on Sunday, what an awesome little car, I'm seriously considering trading in the falcon for it!

That's ok matey, I was just pulling ya leg. :D

I never look at those kind of cars as my size is not compatible with SMALL cars.

PS; have you looked at my New Build thread? the Silver AU III XR6, it has the 18" wheels I bought on it. :D
