Just fitted a K&N panel filter to the Ghia tonight. Mods are only subtle but are coming along nicely.

Well now its not in the V8 workshop section and i dont have to keep it engine related, we're getting the Ghia lowered. Going for Lovells super-lows and KYB shocks all round. Should hopefully get it sitting nice and low which will hopefully compliment the std wheels abit more, well for now anyway untill we find some nie 19's.
Also heres a few pics of the interior.

Latest trick for her will be a Trickflow 3/8" manifold spacer. Went 3/8" as a mate of mine with an AUII XR8 had bonnet clearance issues with a 1/2", so i just wanted to be safe. Hopefully it will allow sufficient clearance for a/market rocker covers down the track.
Also got a new radiator header tank to clean up the look under the bonnet. That will be going in with a full cooling flush and filled up with a mix of distilled water, toyota coolant and redline water wetter. Also picked up a new dash mat for her and had a set of FTR sheepskins dry-cleaned that came with the car, now they are back in too. Looks like she'll be getting a full going over of the exterior today as the weather has cleared up so expect some pics this arvo.

Well we copped some sweet weather over here in the west today, big change from what we've had recently. So i thought i'd take advantage of it and get stuck into the Ghia's paintwork.
Started of with a wash and chamois with Meguiar's soft gel car wash. Came up alright as its the first time we washed it but still needed alot of work. Next i got stuck into it with the clay bar. I used the Meguiar's quick clay kit which is the same one i used on the ute. Now we started getting somewhere, the paint was actually starting to look somewhat glassy. However as we all know, the clay bar started to bring out all the scratches. But thats good, we wanted to see what the paint was really like, as you do when you buy a used car. Once that was all done i used Meguiar's ColourX polish for the finishing touch. It was the first time i had used the ColourX and i was quite impressed. I normally use the Turtle Wax ICE on the ute and have always been happy with how it turns out but i thought i'd try something different on the Ghia, maybe next time i'll go over it the the ICE and see how it turns out. I will be giving it a coat of Megiuar's Carnuba wax tomorrow to seal it all off. Overall the paintwork isnt too bad. The rear skirt has been panted before, maybe by somewhat of a 1st year apprentice so that will be looked at in the near future. Theres a few little scratches and stone ships here and there and a slight scuff mark on the r/h corner of the front bar but is nothing too extreme. Anyway heres the pics of how it turned out today. The missus was a bit camera shy today so i thought i'd get in on the action Also heres the seat covers that came with the car. Funny story though, when i first seen the car as soon as it came in the car yard i seen the seat covers on it. Then it went through the workshop and throught its dodgey detail clean and back onto the car yard floor. Then i went and ispected with the salesman and the covers were gone, i said i wanted them with the car, so the salesman chased them down for me. Turns out the one of the cleaners stole them, haha. Hence why we got them fully dry-cleaned . Hope you enjoyed the pics. We took a total of 57 today, was a mission to pick out the best of them. Stay tuned!! Cheers Jeff

Let me know when you want that spacer, I didn't get up NoR over the weekend. Thanks mate. Yeah might have to get some darker film put on it. I'll try and pop down this saturday mate if your going to be in, or if i'm over your way during work i'll call in. We ordered the new plates for it today. Went with "HER 50L", aluminium plates with white writing on black background and slimline style. Should be here in about 4-6 weeks, should clean up the look abit more and turn a few more heads . I'm thinking of adding a small white dot in between the 5 and the 0 to make it abit more understandable.

No worries mate, its here at work so whenever you've got time is cool.
Current Trendz did the TE's tint, but anyone half decent should be able to do a good job. I'm running 5% on the rear screen and 18% on the sides, touch wood I've had no problems from the fuzz to date.
