Don't worry, it will look almost as tough covered as it does right now. I've got a reverse cowl that I need to chop up a fair bit to fit.

5" tall (4 at the edges and 5 at the centre crease), 23" wide and around 55" long. Definitely needs to be attacked with the grider.

The biggest problem is the downward slope at the front of the bonnet and the slope of the scoop not being steep enough to cover my cooler piping (the scoop is still under 3" tall at the point where the cooler pokes up through the bonnet).

The plan is to cut the sides out of the scoop to the point of the leading V shape at the front, massage the flat parts that are attatched directly to the bonnet, tilt the scoop untill I get the desired profile and finally weld in new sides. I've got one shot at this and if I pull it off I reckon it will look pretty tough.
