Who the f**k wakes up one morning and says "im gonna do up a 4WD turbo laser" i think he's suffering from the gay condition, although..... it looks like a WRC contender!!
But ill be honest id rather push my FALCON than drive that Laser/Mazda 323 bucket!

You my friend obviously have not been for a ride in one. I know of one that was getting around Sydney and run low 11's. It was a weapon.

For their day they were a bit of a weapon.
A very very ex lady friend had one but it was the 4wd version.
It went like s**t off a shiney shovel , handled like it was on rails. Was an awesome piece of kit.
It used to sit with my 350 LX hatchback until 140odd then I would have the legs to walk away.
Get near a set of twistys but and she could be at the other end , finishing her second cup of coffee by the time I got there. Was a very nice drive.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Yeah I had a 1988 Laser 4WD Turbo. Was a 5 speed manual, rims, extractors, 2.5 inch zorst. It was the best car I have owned! It used to rip stock r32 and 33 GTST Skylines from the lights like they were f**k nothing!! And as EVL098 said it handled like it was on rails. Loved it. Though I wouldnt go to that extreme with the body

Cheers

Brett, I sold some tyres to the guy you mentioned, said the cars weak point was the box, even tricked up big HP capable dog boxes would get spat out eventually.

I have been in 2 modified 4WD lasers, done well they go like stink. but its very easy to screw them up and stuff the lot.
