Hey guys, just done a trip up north 600km's and fuel efficiency is better-at 9 litres per 100km which is better than last trip that's for sure & even though I've replaced the VSS with an AU item-shift points are still out for auto (shifting to early still) so that's manually shifting which I think both me & the ECU have adapted to very well.
Also started bringing up parts for the EA starting with SSV rear bumper and side skirts + some clear tail lights,I was surprised at E-series gear I had accumulated over the years from previous Falcons-so the EA is getting the near new 5 speed, have 2 EF tickford heads,EL ECU,crow dual valve springs retainers and collets, vernier cam gear, JP high volume oil pump & other bits and pieces,so I'm thinking CMS stage 3 and J3 to suit.

Hi mate,I know-the selector plate is actually a polished metal one the white is just its protective cover so I thought out of curiosity Ill see how it looks-will be doing the interior soonish with new carpet/BA bucket seats with new leather and I'm thinking of having a crack at a custom leather centre console-should be interesting 8-) I hope

Hey all, thought I'd post a pic of my original concept for the ute to give you an idea of the look I was contemplating and how I think I want it now

Warning very ruff sketch, supposed to be a XR8 bonnet bulge-didn't turn out very good

Yea a fair bit darker thou-also with a pop up sunroof but that brings about a few problems-as in I may have to fabricate some bracing to go around it so It doesn't lose any body strength,if anyone can verify whether this is necessary or not would be awesome, cheers.

Was that ute or sedan?,can imagine there's no problem in a sedan-I'm just a bit worried it may lose some rigidity through body by doing so.
Forgot to mention I'll be using XH mirrors/rear bumper and removing tonneau hooks and welding & filling the holes-hard lid + (I've literally had enough of the xd/xe/xf/xg door handles) they can be made to work almost perfect but it never takes long for them to be buggered again,so with a bit of help a couple of mates and some r & d-we'll attempt using BA door handles (cut & TIG in the whole door handle area) modify XG locks and mechanisms to use cable as the BA/BF and XG outer locks to remain, should be awesome mod  see how far I get
