Hey guys, intercooler done (will be changing piping to more ally/less sillycony later)also 4" intake with K&N filter.
Will have to put the CRS engine mounts in to work out the dump pipe (3")and plumb the waste gate in to the dump pipe once I have the waste gate that is, will be using a diffillipo V8 cat (bought single/new & cheap)
which is 3" in and 2 1/2" out .
Have to use a swivel thermo housing (am using proflow)
Have also found a suitable radiator :)

Will start a thread for the XF as it gets more love etc............

Cheers Johnny.

Hey guys, so have received the new radiator 26"×19" universal type, you can see in the pics the inlet/outlet are wrong way around, which is no problem -just have to unscrew inlet and outlet (billet)turn the radiator around the opposite way take out the plugs (billet) and swap them around and shabang it's all good, also got my 3L twin 044 pump surge tank-will be getting genuine bosch pumps for this, but best of all have been trying to get some AN spanners for ages but have always been to much-till now 7 PCS AN 3 to AN 20 for $46.98 free delivery.

Cheers Johnny.

Hey guys, so swapped the inlet/outlet around to the other side, this one seems like maybe better quality than the last aluminum radiator I got-end tanks seem thicker, only thing I don't like is it only has mounting points on one side, but overall fitment is good-fits perfectly between the intercooler piping, will be moved forward once the intercooler brackets and bolts are adjusted abit and will make some adapters to seat the radiator in the original lower brackets, all in all-it should work good.

Cheers Johnny.

Hey guys, hotter than hell atm-so have been working on the XFN cooling system,I have tried fitting the radiator in every position to work out which way is best (in the XG) taking into consideration that the rod shop engine mounts will lower the engine slightly I found out the best way to fit it is upside down as I'll be deleting the rad cap anyway + I got hold of a BF single thermo fan (E-series or BA double thermo fans won't work) made sure to get the wiring plug with it-have slowly been cutting the housing down to get closer and fit + cutting the holes for the hoses etc.
Have also started on the lower intercooler bracket.

Hey Papa Smurf, yea sloooooowly getting there, did want to ask if you would know if 6 speed manual sandwich plates are the same for the T56 and the TR6060?,Bayford crew said they had no idea, there certainly couldn't be much difference if any-could they?

Cheers Johnny.

BG 6382A is listed for the FG 6cyl and some of the Turbo 6 speed manual but, Ford lists another plate for 6 speed Turbo engines and is BG 6382B ???

I found this variation on the FG I, II but, in the FGX section, the BG 6382B is listed for the 6 speed manual only and says that the BG 6382A is for the other transmissions?? Ford does that a lot as they really don't care much about getting people the right part?? I guess, it is worse now because they don't build cars here any more. Hope that helps? :)

BTW, as far as I can tell, the BG 6382A fits the later BFs and I would guess that Ford superseded the BA one to the BG one. They do not list variances in Transmissions except for the 6 speed manual.

Hey Papa Smurf, yea it does actually -I think this should be good, still trying to figure out what clutch/flywheel to use yet,bit by bit though, most likely use OEM flywheel but depending on what clutch I get and whether its comes with a lightweight flywheel etc..
thanks again for your input mate.
Cheers Johnny.

Hey guys, still slow progress but have been working on making my own brackets, the top intercooler brackets were just temporary pieces to get it as central as possible once I got it where I wanted it I remade the upper top brackets out of aluminum 5mm plate cut into 2cm wide strips-I tried bending them to 90° but the first attempt broke as you can see in the pic,but luckily I could buy these pre bent 90° aluminum angle bits for like $3.99 each easy to cut to size.So intercooler is mounted nice and solid and I can now work on the radiator brackets,I also picked up this baffled catch can with billet filter and drain for $29 free delivery see below.
Cheers Johnny.

Hey guys, mocking stuff up for radiator brackets and am thinking alloy lower brackets which will be lined with a high temp foam so it slips in on the bottom and has 2 upper bolts using the original radiator mounting bracket holes/rubber mounted . Radiator hoses line up nice water pump side and thermo side but not sure on expansion tank and catch can placement yet.
Cheers Johnny.
