So if I get the Ford half moon seals- the flats of the sump would be sealed using silicone sealant?

Only way to use this sump I think?
Thoughts?????

Cheers Johnny.

Hey guys,so sump isn't a problem will either drill and tap this one or get another AN10 fitting welded on.found my duel stage boost controller and am looking for a spot close to my "bok choy" wastegate to mount it (which I have yet to get)
Can anyone tell me what the rules etc are concerning whether you need to run a cat or full/part exhaust for 1/4 mile?.
Was thinking either bonnet or side exit

Anyway anybody have any advice with this I'd love to hear from you.
Cheers Johnny.

I know it's not a genuine ford gasket but coming from EPA I'd assume that they would know there's some differences between them.

Also how can it do BF and FG sumps when it says to 5/05
This is frustrating and clearly false advertising.

Cheers Johnny.

to 5/05 is i think up to BA2 ?

so i'd say yep ..... crap advertising

Hey guys,so spent the day getting all the crap out of the XG's cab-removed the BA XR seats and then removed the carpet and underlay, all that to work out the tailshaft loop which is all fitted, couple of little adjustments before lock tighting, but if you have a look at the earlier photo of the loop you can see how much it needs to be modified, has a fair amount of room to move inside the loop still.
Pics Cheers Johnny.

Hey guys, so got my alloy bend today -looks like it should work good (will shorten slightly from the turbo side to bring it away from the body),will have to shorten the water pump snout to go under the IC pipe.

Cheers Johnny.

Hey guys, so upon trying to remove the XG harness (engine bay to cab) I removed the sports cluster and thought I've never tried fitting the BA/XR cluster so I cleaned it up and put it in just to see how it looks and fits, which is fairly good just need to make a bit more space at the back.
Pics....

Hey guys, so have decided to take the dash out to repair the rust at the bottom of the windshield but nothing prepared me for how bad it actually is,will be using the sheet metal from the damaged ute bonnet I have to rebuild the metal along there so it is water tight (for the first time) will just use the gasless mig.

Autopsy pics......warning much decay

Cheers Johnny.

Hey mad,yea I thought it would have been worse-plenum area seems good, will be able to get a better idea when I remove the windscreen but the worst of it is the top part of the firewall directly under the windscreen-I'm just going to go nuts with the angle grinder & mig welder to give it new material to seal with a new windscreen.

Cheers Johnny.

Bugger about the rust. I had a rust bubble that just went straight through when I used the old surgical probe (screwdriver) on my EL firewall. Bit hard to get at but I think I've stopped it. I can only assume it's from the leaves that love to get in that gutter there, I bought some ally flyscreen to put under it to keep em out.

That BA dash looks real nice in there!

Hey Benno, yea bloody rust-the previous owner is a mate of mine (he's a land scaper) from what I can tell its never been out of the elements since 1994 and leaked when he owned it too,but yep I removed a heap of leafy crap when I bought it and under the tray where the petrol tank is was full of sand-so rust was inevitable really.
I could use the BA cluster but I think they need resetting or something to work properly with a different car/ecu.

Cheers Johnny.

P.s have finally got my "bok choy" wastegate

Hey guys, got the dash and cab to engine wiring fully out (from the XG's SOHC)and have started gutting everything out of the dash the only stuff I'm keeping is the drivers side wiring/fuse box etc as I only need the cluster wiring and I'll leave all the exterior lighting wiring etc.will remove all the ac heater box and put away for the XFN

Some of the outer windscreen trims screws have rusted that bad I can't use a screwdriver to remove them.any suggestions on how to get these out?

Cheers Johnny.
