Hey guys, still slowly plodding along with da ute, engine is ready to go back in and off the stand, removed the flex plate and changed the rear main seal and cleaned the rust off the flex/sandwiche plates and got them painted, also removed the OEM torque converter, cleaned inside the bell housing and changed the front trans oil seal, partially filled the new Diamond 2200 stall converter with TQ95 and fitted the stall to the box and the box to the engine but will leave the converter bolts until engine and box are back in the car.

So got the engine and gearbox back in the ute with the stall etc,bad news is the CRS engine mounts don't fit the xg but they are advertised as from XA to XF so could just be that xg is somehow different under the chassis side engine mount plates and my bf fan is still to fat to fit between the harmonic balancer and the radiator, so will have to get a large slimline fan which should be fine.
So have just reused my xg barra mount setup from the last engine and trans mount will work but still needs some improvement.

Yeah, haven't heard back from them yet, will run a bolt through the rubber engine mounts for now and make some later if I have too.

I'll be buggered if I can see anything different from the XF to XG,but there has to be a difference between them as both Tuff mounts and CRS advertise as being from XA to XF hey so I'm not sure what the go is,wish they would mention why concerning the XG.

So slowly getting through stuff, got the engine oil cooler lines made trans lines made, tried to put the bonnet back on but the passenger side arm needs a refurb first.
Will be using the thermostat that was in the first 182 with new seals and gaskets and the modified thermostat heater pipe to AN10.

Good stuff man, you're getting through it.

Weird about the mounts? I always got told XG was an XF front, k frame-wise.

Hey Benno,it is very weird as I messaged CRS through Ebay/sale of the mounts and they confirmed it his exact words are "yes these fit xg aswell" but these ones do not even come close to fitting, the plates fit the barra and xg but it's like both the arms in between are to long.
I did buy these in January of 2017 and have only been able to use them now-but I can't see what that should matter as it's still a fault from manufacturing them.

Think I need to put the mounts back on,if you can call it that and I'll take a video to show you how bad they are, there's no possibility of using them as they are without extensive modifications which defeats the entire purpose of buying them to start with.
And worse is I can't afford to buy another set (would not buy them from CRS considering current circumstances) and would have to spend another $350 to replace the mounts that I've already purchased from CRS through Tuff mounts.

Have not heard anything from CRS except that the mounts I bought fit xg aswell which they clearly don't!

Hey guys,so turned out that there was a problem when they first started making these mounts which was basically around the time I bought these and they're just been very busy after summernats and the whole "toasted Cleetus" thing which is very understandable but good news is that they're sending a new set out hopefully tomorrow.

Hey guys,so hopefully I should be at least hearing from CRS this week-very much doubt that I'll be receiving them this week. ATM I have lost motivation for the time being, not to mention the little bit of cash I did have for materials for dump pipe and side exits gone as I didn't see any point buying stuff when I didn't even know whether the mounts were going to be replaced etc,was planning on having it at least running by now-nearly a month waisted because of this and still nothing to show for it and no real sign of a light at the end of the tunnel either.

Why doesn't this happen to people with a bottomless cheque book?and people who struggle and save end up with the short end of the damn stick!
Buckin sux!

Well finally got the engine mounts and looks to be a big difference, what I don't understand is that these would have been done in batches which means they would have had alot of people with this same problem but choosed not to recall the rest of the batch and waited for the customers to complain rather than being proactive about it.
