Ride: EF-XR6/XG-6/XE-V8- project

Hey guys, so trying to regroup so to speak and using a detector to try and locate where my motivation has been buried
But am trying to simplify the fuel system just to start with till I can afford to do the surge tank setup.
So this consists of 650cc 60Lb injectors a F6 4.0 bar fuel reg and rail which equates to about 58 psi and a W460 460lph intank fuel pump (E85 compatible) and utilising the XG's fuel lines as my initial setup to get it running.

So question is,does anyone see any problems with this, keeping in mind everything is going to be changed in the ECU injector scaling etc it's more the fuel pump I'm curious about, any advice would be accepted with humble grace I assure you 8-)

P.s forgot to add to that question regarding fuel pump whether it may be to big?

Well got the mounts in sort of,one bolt I haven't been able to get yet,but other than that they're in but this has brought about some brand new problems as in I new these mounts would put the engine lower in the bay but had no idea that it actually is sitting the engine back about 23mm further than standard will try and move the engine and gearbox forward on the mounts and Kframe as far as possible to try and get this number smaller but either way the transmission cross member needs modifying and worse is that I may not be able to use my driveshaft as it is which could be another expense I can't afford.

Thought I'd put this up so that you'd have an idea of how much this has cost so far as most of the parts I either bought for other projects and never used and the rest were just Ebay auction buys over the years that are to good not to bid on.

So I'll start with the main stuff.
Barra 182 $99 bought 5 years ago approximately.
4 speed auto $280 purposely for this.
Turbo $90 +$10 postage. New/never used no warranty etc.
Intercooler,piping kit,couplers & clamps etc.$288 delivered
38mm wastegate $60 new never used no warranty etc...
50mm monster gate $48 delivered

Will obviously not go so cheap with the fuel system and alot of the other parts are what end up costing a lot more for a build like this, especially valve springs and head studs etc........
So yeah it's all just cheap Ebay parts, stuff like the wastegate and blowoff valve I will be checking out with air PSI,but curiously the $48 blowoff valve (can take up to 35psi boost pressure)has a 2 year warranty and the seller has good feedback so we'll see how it all goes hey

Any questions I'm happy to answer.
Cheers Johnny.

P.s I know that the engine and box won't last long but the 182 that came out of the xg will be rebuilt to post 06 Typhoon spec & the box is getting a high performance HD rebuild for its XG-FPV MK-II then we may try ZF 6-speed.

So I thought a continuation of the cost for XG-FPV 2.0
AN8 3M kit approx $60
AN6 5M kit approx $68
2200 Diamond stall $405 delivered.
AN8 sandwich plate $17
26×19×2.2 Universal rad $202 delivered.
Crow cams springs and ret $418 delivered.
38mm screamer pipe kit $65
2.5" to 3" alloy 90° bend $37
Shocks & springs SL $289 delivered.
AN10 turbo oil drain adapter $10
Ba radiator hose kit $65

Keep in mind this is stuff that I have bought over many years some of which had been originally for other projects and purposes. Will add more as I work it out.

Hey guys, have been working out the trans mount and this is the first draft of the mount, have made a shell for both top and bottom of the mount to stop any movement but the flex of the poly mount itself. May have to cut and weld the lower shell into the mount cross bar depending upon how much room there is to work with.

Here is a bit of a mock up to work out height and angle etc, will make flat plate to go over the mount hole in the extension housing to which the upper poly mount shell will be mounted too to help spread the load across the back of the box.

So still plodding on with the trans mount,if my mate hadn't have gotten the metal I'm using this may have taken forever on top the mount saga
But cut notches for the box on the front so I can use the angled iron with flats facing in,have also cut a new top flat plate with some strength added for the back of the box. Still need to space the angle iron down a bit and will have to cut the lower mount shell into the crossmember and will add some crush tubes and gussets where appropriate aswell.

Stupid s**t,I bought a AN10 6M kit comes with 10 Black AN10 fittings 4×straight,2×180°,2×90°,2×45° fittings and 6 meters of fairly nice AN10 PTFE hose-problem is I need at least 6 more 90° fittings and they tell me that I cannot by there fittings separate,so I would have to buy 3 more kits or spend a big chunk of change with there competitors to get fittings that may not fit the same with this PTFE hose.

Hey guys, got a delivery today which was a double 90 degree 3" but can't afford a 4 bolt turbo flange atm- but remembered that I have a 4 bolt to V band 3" adapter which will work-I just need a 45 degree bend to bring it back toward the firewall to get past the pitman arm on the steering box and then exit out the side behind the driver side front wheel.

So trying to sort out the cooling system,so I got a AN12 female to AN10 male so I can use the XG's OG expansion tank and had to get a bit creative with the remaining AN10 fittings I have,as per photo's I can either use the 180 degree fittings with the AN10 T fitting or one straight & one 45 degree to come from expansion tank & the thermostat housing and then around the back of the engine to the hot side heater pipe coming from the water pump. Will be getting one more mild steel AN10 weld on for the hot side heater pipe & one more PTFE 90 degree AN10.

Hey guys, so some times you can get lucky, found a aluminum fuel cell on Gumtree and it was hard to tell how big it was-the guy was busy and for $50 it looked worth it no matter what the size was,so went and got it and Wow it is bloody big-nice thick (not too thick) aluminum and really good welds, looks to be for a carburetor set up with a fuel gauge sender has a drain and breather etc...

Also trying to work out where the side exit should-well exit ,think I'll pull the guard off to see what it would take to exit out through the bottom of the guard.
