Cool, thanks for the number, Ill give them a call once my engine is in.

What did your car make with the stage 2 cam? Did it need valve springs to be changed?

How many stages has your motor been through?

How long do you think until its back on the road?

Apparently torque multiply's through the drive train the same way kw or hp are reduced (even in 4th when its straight through)
So 400fwkw may be 300rwkw and 800fly wheel nm may equate to 1000 nm at the wheels. All dyno figures are at the wheels (unless convertered) where as manufacturors figures are at the fly e.g.

Yeah torque is a tricky one to calculate "at the wheels". But if you'd like to have a crack at the engine figures, there's a formulae....

torque (ft-lbs) = (hp x 5252)/rpm

and

1nM = 0.724ft-lb

800hp @ 6,000rpm = 700ft-lb = 506nM
700hp @ 4,000rpm = 919ft-lb = 665nM
600hp @ 3000rpm = 1050ft-lb = 760nM

To calculate at wheels, you will need to calculate the RPM the wheels are spinning at, pretty easy if you know the circumference. Then use the hp @ wheels figure with the wheel's RPM in the above formula.

Stage 2 made 279rwkw i think, but the restricting factor was the exhaust at that point so i think it would have made a little more perhaps 295rwkw with it in.

Yes valve springs needed to be changed.

I had 3 stages, this current one willl be my forth and i think it will be back on the road in 2 weeks, hopefully.

Thats is awesome power!! Maybe I should do that before I get my retune done!

Any idea what they charged you for the cam and headwork or was it all on the one bill?

There was a breakdown buti cannot remember.

I would just give Brian a buzz let him know what your working towards and he should be able to let you know roughly how much and expected results. If it's more than you want to spend just let him know, he is quite helpful.

So your running a OHC Block with stock crank but the BA's rods and slugs? (or ones originally designed for a BA). Do you need to do any major work to the crank? What about compression? Does the BA motor share same bore and stroke dimensions as the earlier ones? Reason I ask, i reckon before long you could build a kick a*** blown OHC motor just using stock bits off a XR6T

Pistons and rods are off being balanced and will be back tomorow

Crank is being heat treated and balanced will be done thur

Plennium is almost finished g built and and cooler piping will be done last when the engine is back in.

Project looks like being finished over the next week and then dyno work to get tunning and fuel right.

I'll keep you all informed
