For sure, I didn't know he was doing work for anyone else on Formods.
I have found him pretty good to deal with. I bet that is why he was making a mould of my mine, to use as a template

Updated with a couple fo Plenimum pics, i'm not happy with the way it looks, too boxy, i thought it would taper off at the back to try to distribute even airflow over the front cyclinders.
Also not happy with the throttle which is being re-welded to fit it.

Hey Pyroay,
Quick question, with the new rods and pistons being longer. wont that raise compression? Also how did they fit clearance wise? I know you said only the rods were longer but in the pics it looks like the whole assembly is longer.

The pin height in piston is higher, so all that geometry is the same....

Seeing as you drive this fantastic machine each day, how have you found keeping things cool?
I ask cause mine seems to get quite warm sitting in traffic (mine is EF same turbo @ 12psi). Do u run an aluminium radiator? Have you done any sort of ducting to help air flow after changing the front? cheers |

Engine seems to be approx 20% hotter than normal and intake temp reaches approx 45degrees sitting in traffic, instead of 25degrees when driving (except cold morning when it is 10degrees)

Zarloc - is yours an EF XR ? Cheers, Steve |

Thats true i have taken the cover off from behind the vent so it lets hot air escape and you can warm your hands over the vents when the motor is running.
It just happens that the one on the turbo side sits just near the turbo and the one on the other side sits just near the vent for the BOV. NICE
