RD, I still have the driveshaft out of the ED Ghia sitting on the ground, if you want to borrow it, and I think there is another in the garage.

Ben, yes please - I know that an ED one will fit into either car. You right for tomorrow after 11:00am?
I was just letting Brett know I wouldn't need the EF one and we talked about the stupid EF driveshaft not fitting. He suggested it could be the speedo gear that was getting in the way. I will probably see if that is the case on the EB once it is off the road just out of interest..... Cheers RD

if you change the box yoke, any shaft will fit, just check length, unis and a snug yoke-number of splines or dia, may be different.

If so, that may be doable as I still have the stuffed EF box in the backyard. If not then... it will be getting an EB tailshaft so it wouldn't really matter unless of course there is something better about an EF one.....

It's DONE !!!!!!!!!!!
I have finished (big sigh of relief), just brake fluid to top up. Fitted a replacement ECU relay this avo and all is well. Everything under the bonnet has been reassembled. I also fitted the driveshaft out of the EB after replacing the EB's with a shaft I borrowed off BenJ. Did a quick road test and everything seems good - brakes, trans, steering, suspension etc etc. All that needs to be done before Monday morning (blue slip day) is a good clean, but that is Rach's job - it is her car after all. Will report back sometime Monday with either good or bad news..... Cheers RD

Well done, very impressed, and i have a feeling it will not need anything to get through.
Best of luck on Monday. Brett

As Brett said well done and good luck mate.
I reckon you will be pretty much right. If it does need anything it wont be major. The hardest bit will be having a nice new blueslip sitting there and waiting to screw some new plates on it!

Thanks guys, been a long road that was punctuated by times of non-motivation. I am feeling pretty confident for Monday but you just never know.
Your spot on Matt, when the blue slip is in hand Rach will be champing at the bit to get new plates. I can forsee the family eating toast and jam for a week so it can be registered

Having been in on this caper from the beginning, , I too offer my congratulations on a job well done.
I am sure Rach will show her appreciation as well, once she is behind the wheel. At the very least, you will get your wagon back. BenJ
