will be good to see when done.
those saloon cars race with pretty much dev 5 equivilant motors dont they?

Umm generally run rebuilt motors within the specs of what the class will allow. I'm kinda lost where dev 5 is coming from as that's a JMM 6 cylinder thing and this is an 8?

Not sure where you got the 8 from, looks like an EA 6 to me, just like the saloon cars?

haha just blame it on school holidays and the hot weather.

will look the goods when done im sure but leave the kit off if your goin racing on tracks with other cars. if its hill climbs/track days/motokanas then leave it on there.

my motor is based on a salon (tee hee couldnt help myself) saloon car with the only deviation being the ECU tune and Camshaft.

Looks like a fair bit of work there. Same kit as mine except the wing and it looks like you're missing the rear drivers side door lower skin.

haha yeah i dont either, I think i looked at that kit and assumed it looked like something that belonged on a boxcar 8...tripping balls.

But they have set restrictions depending on what you are racing in. Generally its something like a given cam, 3 angle valve job, a given ems, given suspension, driveline and wheel/tyre options. Pretty much everything is controlled to keep it fair.

How the cam compares to dev 5 i dont know, but my uncle used to race in the AU/VT class and from how the car sounded the cam was a fairly beasty one.
