finally got the head and cam on a few weeks ago, also got a wideband controller of Jase from Tiperformance so i wont have to wait to get dyno access. hopefully put that in (just need to get a commodore MAP sensor for it.) this weekend along with the pacemakers i got off a workmate.
also picked up an ef xr front end so just have to paint that along with the tickford bodykit sitting in the shed and my old bootlid and spoiler and i'll be happy with it for a while.

finally got the wideband wired in, and after 2 decent runs the sensor decided it didnt want to play anymore (reading 200:1 afrs). also decided to change my cam again to my own custom grind. feels alot better than the 977b, pulls harder and now has a nice lump at idle. hoping for around the 170kw mark, should get on the dyno to check within the next week.
no progress with the xr front end or bodykit yet as whenever i have the time to do it, the weather has been s**t!

for those that are interested, here's a vid of the cam idle on the stock ecu. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMuxBCPL8go
and here is the tuned idle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqeKnAfJE8I
not 100% yet but afrs are good, bouncing abit between 14.4-14.9

It's looking great. Making some really nice progress. Can't wait to see how it turns out and what other things you do to it. :)

got the car on the dyno the other day, and pulled nowhere near what i wanted. lol. only pulled 140rwkw, but low and bottom end of the midrange has a s**t more torque than the 977b. not sure how to convert tractive effort properly, but had 3800n@around 2500rpm.

The extra torque would be fun! What's the plan to get more power from it?

yeah it is fun, at the moment, the plans are to throw the 977b back in, and wait til i work out another grind to try. also should try and get some paint so i can paint the front end and bodykit while we have some decent weather

installed some 4480's on the weekend, and i must say, the sound difference is amazing. such a better note right through the rev range and a little bit of crackle when you back off. also installed a set of 8.8mm leads. hopefully get to put it on the dyno this weekend, just to see if it made any difference.
