You sure it hasn't just spun the outer ring of the harmonic (front) balancer?

Im not sure whats actually wrong with it, i havent felt good enough to go down staires and check.

It vibrates really badly and ontop of that it sounds like tin cans being kicked around inside the motor, when i drove it home i could still build boost but it just felt like s**t.

Ive done a quick check with the dipstick and theres no metal fillings that i can see so the turbo is safe THANK GOD.

Also i picked up a neat little tunning device called a tweecer rt so when i can sort things out ill be using this bad boy to tune my setup.

Just need to have a good day without chest pains and feeling weak and ill get things sorted.

Fair enough, your health absolutely has to come first. Just don't tear it apart before checking the things that are a straightforward fix.

Okay went down staires to have a look at the harmonic balancer as sam suggested and when i turned the motor over by hand i could hear metal rubbing( its dark down in my garage so i couldn't see well).

I decided to check the balancer for the timing marks and as soon as i looked at it the balancer was about 3" moved from the pulley, i moved the balancer around freely with my hand.

After wobbling it around for 5 mins laughing at myself for not checking earlier i thought to myself YUP its spun the balancer lol.

Anyway does anyone know how much they are for a new one?

powerbond do nice balancers, they do a street and a race version for the EFI 5L.
i got the 'race' version on mine, from memory was about 220 from VPW.
street version, again from a hazy memory, was about 180.

Id like to dyno it but it has a terrible oil leak remember!!!, once thats sorted ive got the tweecer to mess with lol.

Actually theres a heap of work that needs doing to make me 100% happy with it ie redo i/c piping, new petrol tank, radius rod bushes, cai, fix power window regs, relocate batter, fit a top rad filler neck.

So theres a fair bit that needs doing BUT if your offering your assistance then it will get done much quicker.
