No plans for big boost or anything at the moment, i was considering an smt from crescent just waiting till joe converts the maf to map.

The reason for the smaller housing is after speaking with gcg turbos and doing some research on corral forums ive realised the turbo itself is too big for my application, like if i was to rev it to 5-6000rpm id be good for it buy it aint a 347 or a rever so smaller housing it is.

Tried to get bsp7r spark plugs but couldnt so ive got some other plug thats cooler than that so... will see how that goes.

Working on it this weekend so should be intresting, testing before i can get the other wastegate fitted.

So i have to get it welded on by the exhaust shop.

Yeah mate tonight i was at my fiance's fathers house and on there property i hand timed a few runs, i got two runs on camera so yeah ill put them up on you tube.

The turbo is laggy like starts to make boost at 2500+rpm but after 50kays it just wheel spins, camera doesn't convey how the car performs.

At best i recon a mid to high 13 and worst a low 14, it is abit slow leaving the line then when i get 9-10psi it just wheel spins.

Im happy

Heres a little video of a 0-100kmh sprint, this will show you how laggy the turbo is.

Car is going realy well now, fuel economy has realy improved so much better than standard AND considering they are 24lb injectors.

Stock id see no better than 18lt/100kms.

Good to see it's running a lot better. Hows the heat under the bonnet, has anything started to show signs of melting??

Cheers

Well its been awhile, heat hasnt burnt a thing in the bay mate.
Car has been running really well for a backyard job, anyway i have been hand timing my car every now and then always adding a bit more stall...

Well i am happy to say ive gotten a 4.7seconds to 100... blimy its quick BUT not without its tricks, you need to get on the convertor really hard and sit for about 5 odd seconds then it leaves marks about 100 metres long before get traction THEN chirping the tyres sliding out again WHOA this is quick got to 150 in no time at all.

So im still not happy about its lag so the smaller housing is going on aswell as better tyres.

So theres the trick with an auto you have to sit on the convertor to get boost off the line.... but goddamn it hammers, cruises beautiful too lol.

Turbo is a T04r built by gcg turbos.

Comp housing is .70 , comp wheel is a ceramic coated t66.

Exhaust housing was 1.00 but i changed it to a .70 as before full boost was around 4500rpm, now its at 3000rpm response is also alot better. Turbine wheel is a 76 p trim.

Turbine housing is t4.

Ive got my car running 6psi with 30* timing and it pulls really well now alot harder than 10psi with retarded timing.

Ill take some videos and post them on youtube real soon.

If i was to do it from scratch again id definitely use an xr6 turbocharger its perfect for a STOCK 5l.

Ive recently got a twin turbo 4l eb,its only 2 r33 skyline turbos on it.With the 2 smaller turbos pretty well no lag but my auto has got a jim mock 3000 stally and its the best thing i reckon, the car is all go off the line with no lag and out on the highway the convertor locks up.I reckon your set up would love the stally...
