Finally got bumper back on today. Took the beast for a buzz around the block. Did I have some fun its got some real poke now hopefully will get a chance this week to get exhaust made up. One not so good point is I have lost my speed sensitive power steering which I knew I would any brainiacs out there know what signals ecu uses to make ssps work?

Steve, an SSPS ECU should only need a VSS input.

Still haven't tried it but had a thought last night while trying to get some sleep. NL use a 10v signal for the vss while ba uses a 5v signal so probably won't work. As it stands the steering at the moment is very heavy with very little self centering does anyone know if a stndard el power steering rack will work?

Standard EL Steering rack will bolt straight up.

An SSPS rack should perform the same as a std rack without an input to the solenoid.

Cheers Steve a signal level conversion should do the trick.

Will investigate this further want to get exhaust and front suspension done first. Does the voltage to the solenoid increase as speed rises?

Have not done much lately wife has been a bit crook so all my spare time has been taken up until yesterday that is. Managed to pull the dodgy sls suspension out and put some decent springs and shocks in. Went for lows have to be a bit sensible live on a dirt road and its pretty crappy have managed to rip a hole an auto trans sump once before. Anyway have lost that boat feeling and it no longer sits like a rollerskate. Still have to find time to get exhaust done. Might give her a wash today and put some pics up.
Cheers |

What did you about the electronic throttle pedal compared to fairlanes cable driven?
