I had an idea to make an upper like this; the later "Thor" range rover intake. A bit like a GT40 upper with runners that go to each side and then a common plenum...

As usual Pete great work and more importantly plenty of pictures, just how a build thread should be :D

You’ve bought back memories with the XA, would have to be a good 10 years ago you guys did that??

Has he still got it?

Thanks James,

I think it's well over ten years ago. He's still got the Bird(now with a hot cleveland) but that engine got bolted into an XB GS ute that he painted in a cobalt like colour. Then he flogged it to his mate who flogged it to someone else and it's been going downhill ever since.

Damn you Pete, You people with excellent mechanical abilities to do awesome stuff like this. I don't have the skills or the finances, I will just vicariously through this thread for a while.

Its not that I have not built motors, but retro fitting into something else and actually completing projects to a high standard, my hat is off to you.

Thanks.

Dave

I think he's too busy with new job. It's annoying because the car is outside all the time.
On a good note, the neighbors have ok'd the new shed(even though it's going to be 4M high) so the next problem will be the f**k heads at the shire!?

Sorry Pete haven't been on here for a while, if its not to late it 160mm, they sit low on a 5.0 but as you know the 5.8 lower lifts them up quite a bit.

Your welcome to borrow it if it'll help with checking clearances etc??
