I should be ready for this weekend Ash.
Sounds like you actually need to read the words Jimmy! The stock intake with the HO upper is the lowest height option for this so that combined with not wanting to disturb the factory lower means I'll be trying that first(that's why i match ported it while it was still on the engine). Yes the GT40 Intake and heads will get a turn one day and so will a hyd. roller but first things first. |

Yeah Adam, a few people have said that:) Dad had a few of them and I always liked them except for the f**k s**t engine!
Pulled the running gear and sold the body off the XE. Now for some more... Thanks to Ash helping me on saturday we got the engine and trans finally in! New flexplate and ARP bolts Bolted together... Some die grindering required here for shifter linkage clearance... In like Flyn... Driveshaft clearance with the Ally pan is actually better than the steel one... Still I hit it with grinder of die for a little more clearance... Crossmember clearance is somewhat minimalist. Deciding whether to notch just for the sump portion or right to the outside of the fins at the mo.. |

Yeah I can't wait either Ash!
I don't think I'll be supercharging it Adam, As I said earlier, it may get the 40Y heads, Explorer intake and a hyd roller but the stock 351 will be a huge improvement over the poxy engine it had. I'll probably just use pegged stock diffs if I break one but I've still yet to discover if they're 10 spline or 24. '93 was supposedly the changeover year. Might go with an LSD for the rear and a locker for the front at some stage too. I'm eyeing off a Quaife Torsen type centre diff too...the std diff lock shifter mechanism is a C*** of a thing. |

Those Delis'...So easy to work on Anyway back on topic... I bought a coupla these gauges. They're great because you have programmable warning points, outputs and even a data logger 0-5V output. SO I can use this one to control my trans cooler fan.. http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetai ... 948&sid=76 I also got an Oil pressure gauge... http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetai ... 944&sid=76 |
